**Ch 371: Savannah's Bestie

Later, after feeding Victoria, Savannah dashed to the kitchen. She was about to throw out the soup in the trashcan until curiosity had her wondering what soup would taste like. Back on her dimensional home planet, human food was different from Earth. Disregarding the fact that she hated human food, she scooped up a spoonful with the spoon Victoria ate off of, and she put it into her mouth.

"Yuck!" Savannah gagged, spitting it out into the sink. She then threw out the container in the trash. "That's disgusting!" she exclaimed.

Savannah may not like human food, but she did like human sweets, so she always kept her options open in case she found something else she liked.

"Did you seriously just eat that?" Nina, her best friend, asked her when she walked into the old outdated kitchen.

"I was curious," Savannah admitted without shame, or any indication that she was embarrassed.

Nina laughed. "I don't know why you insist on trying human food. You know you won't like it."

Savannah giggled as she eyed the fresh bite mark on Nina's neck. "I never miss any opportunity in case I find something I do like. Like how I noticed you and your husband got busy."

Nina touched the bite mark, and she blushed bright red. "Mm, we had some fun. What, are you jealous we didn't invite you?" she poked some fun, and Savannah laughed.

"No, I'd hate to ruin your marriage because he'll end up giving me more attention over you in your own bed," Savannah harmlessly teased Nina.

She already knew, she couldn't steal Nina's husband because her best friend married her destined mate.

"You tramp!" Nina playfully slapped her shoulder. "That could never happen because he's my mate!"

"I made it my goal to one day ruin a happy marriage between destined mates," Savannah smirked, being quite determined to achieve her shallow goal.

"Such a wasted goal. Destined mates have an unbreakable bond that not even your gift can defeat," Nina chuckled.

"I wouldn't understand, seeing how I don't have one. But I don't mind because I have Rex." Savannah nonchalantly shrugged her shoulders.

What she had with Rex was more than enough for her, and Nina understood that.

"Anyhow, speaking of Rex, how's his little pet? Are you really okay with him getting rid of those innocent vamp babies? They're not even born yet." Nina asked since she was wondering because it was bugging her heart.

"It's best not to think about it. You know Rex won't let Victoria keep her babies," Savannah advised since she knew there wasn't any way to change his mind.

"But still, I don't know how you can stomach it. I don't even like it when my husband eats human babies," Nina frowned at the awful thought because she loved all babies, including animals.

Savannah sighed at her friend's constant kvetch about it. "You have to block it. Otherwise, you'll go mad. We can never stop the males from doing these dire things," she advised again.

"You're right," Nina sadly agreed before she changed the subject. "Anyways, let's go shopping. Before we head home, I have to buy this dress."

She grabbed Savannah's hand and started dragging her away. "What is the point of buying a new dress when your husband is only going to end up tearing it off your body." She teased her friend, which earned her a nasty glare from Nina when she twisted her head back.

"I'll kill him!" Nina exclaimed, getting very annoyed by that thought. "If you come willingly, I'll buy you a pair of high heels," she bribed Savannah as she was trying to pull her along the dining room. Even for wearing heels and a smutty dress, Savannah was putting up a good fight as she'd yanked back to resist Nina's tug.

"You had me at the heels," Savannah giggled since she couldn't say no to that bargain.

"Savannah!" Nina exclaimed when Savannah yanked her wrist free, which had her fly into the wall with a loud crashing sound.

Part of the old wall got dented in whenever Nina's backside hit the wall with a loud boom, and a picture frame of a dog was knocked onto the wooden floor. The whole commotion and their laughter caused a few vampires to peek inside the dining room. Their eyebrows cocked strangely because all they saw was Savannah helping Nina off the floor.

"They're worse than teenagers," one of the vampires commented after they vanished, and his friends couldn't disagree.

Minutes later, after gathering a group of their friends, they went to the nearby department stores before the stores would close around ten pm, which the time was still only around six pm during the evening, so they had plenty of time to shop. In the large changing room area, Savannah walked out of one of the changing rooms and sauntered over to the large body-size mirrors that were closely arranged together for her to see every angle of her dress.

Looking into the mirrors, she examined her silky pink tight dress that had flower prints on it. Seeing some wrinkles had ruffled on part of the short-length skirt area on the dress, she rubbed them out as she smelled a distinctive scent she recognized. Right when her eyes glanced back into the mirror, a pair of glacial red orbs were scowling at her.

"You know Jack, this is a lady's room, or did you miss me so much that you couldn't wait for me to come out?" Savannah tauntingly asked him as her flirtatious eyes scanned Jack's muscular physique, which reflected in the mirror like a divine Greek sculpture.

Through the mirror from behind Savannah, Jack glared her down, yet she wasn't the least bit threatened. "My friend Rose said you would be predictable when it came to finding you," Jack derided her as a female.

"Why? Because I like to glamorize myself. I'm sure your friend Rose and even Sharlene do the same," Savannah mocked, defending herself.

"They do, but there is a difference between you and my female friends," Jack stated without giving his reason, which purposely aroused her curiosity.

"And what's that?" Savannah required to know since she was inquisitive.

"None of them are tramps like you," Jack chastised her to offend her.

"I take pride in the word," Savannah seductively grinned as she turned around to face Jack.

"Enough stalling, where is Victoria?" Jack refrained from tearing her apart after he questioned her.

Refusing to answer his question, Savannah grinned. "I'll never tell unless you kiss me."

Gritting his fangs, Jack launched to attack her, but Savannah quickly dodged him by disappearing, which caused him to nearly slam head-first into the mirrors if it wasn't for him stopping himself with his palms pressed against the mirror. He had to hand it to her, she was quicker than he had anticipated.
