First World Auction (4)

"Now, for the first item in the second portion of our auction." Brian started.

One of the workers brought out a small wooden box and handed it to the announcer.

Brian opened the box and displayed it to the audience.

"Here we have a Master Key. It can open any door and has three uses."

[Master Key]

[This key can be used to unlock any door no matter what type of locking mechanism or spells are used to keep it shut. (3 uses left)]

"The bidding price will start at 100 gold coins and just to remind you all, you must bid with at least a 1 gold increment."

Brian then started the bid.

Enzo had no direct need for something like that, so he wasn't going to waste his coins on it.

A few minutes later the key was won by someone in a VIP box for 180 gold coins.

"Our next few items are very rare, so we will be splitting them up into sets of 5. The first set of 5 is a flower known as the Blood Flower."

The worker brought out five blood flowers that were encased in glass and set them on the floor in front of Brian.

Brian picked one of them up and showed it to the audience.

"A blood flower can only be harvested during a full red moon and has many special properties."

Enzo didn't even need to look at the description of the flower as he would have to buy it anyway.

Brian continued, "The bidding will start off at 200 gold coins for each set of blood flowers."

Enzo started bidding away his precious coins as fast as he could.

Surprisingly, there wasn't anyone putting up much of a fight, and he was able to get the blood flowers for just 250 gold coins.

It felt like 250 wasn't that large of an amount because of how many gold coins Enzo went into the auction with, but he forgot that 250 gold coins are equal to $25,000 USD.

"Here you go guys." Enzo handed out a blood flower to each of his friends as Brian began auctioning off another set of 5 blood flowers.

"Thanks bud." Ivan said.

"Yeah, thanks Atlas." Juliet responded.

Vincent just gave a nod of appreciation.

"What are the blood flowers for?" Jane asked.

"We all need them to complete the vampire quests we have." Enzo answered nonchalantly.

"ALL of you have vampire quests???!!" Jane screamed and jumped to her feet.

"Hehe." Enzo chuckled but didn't answer her.

Hephaestus turned to Jane before saying, "Not me though. I have the dwarf quest."

"What the fuck!?" Jane yelled.

"Hahahaha."

"Hehehe."

"Haha!"

The whole group laughed at Jane's surprise.

"Why are you all acting so nonchalantly about this? This is amazing, I didn't know all of you had the quest. How did you even get the quest?"

Enzo decided to answer her this time and said, "We all found quests in the tutorial area that could give us a bloodline quest so we have been working towards it ever since."

Jane sat back down as she listened to Enzo talk.

"That's amazing." She said.

After a few seconds of silence, Jane then realized something.

"Wait, why didn't you tell me about this while I was still in the tutorial area?"

"..."

'Shit…'

A frown started slowly making its way onto Jane's face as Enzo stared blankly at her.

It wasn't an angry frown, but more of a sad frown.

"I.. Uh… Umm…." Enzo stuttered.

'How could I forget to tell her…'

Enzo was starting to feel worse and worse as time went on. He knew he would be deeply upset if one of his friends forgot about him like that and didn't share a secret that could potentially change their lives.

This game was no longer just a regular game after the cryptocurrency system was introduced. It could become a real job, and being one of the leaders of a new race could bring in lots of money. Not only that, but Jane obviously had skills in this game and getting a bloodline would most likely only increase her skills.

"Look, I am really sorry Jane. It just completely lapsed my mind. I understand that probably doesn't make it much better but I really didn't mean to slight you like that." Enzo finally said.

"Sigh. It's okay, I get it. It's probably because of that cute girl who was in the store that day." Jane said with a smirk.

"..."

While Enzo's cheeks started to redden, the rest of the group started turning their heads slowly towards him.

Ivan and Hephaestus had smiles on their faces, while Vincent and Juliet were just curious about the new gossip.

Jane could no longer hold her laughter.

"Pfffffttt. Hahaha!"

Enzo just shook his head at her antics as the rest of the group started giggling and laughing as well.

After she calmed down, Jane finally said, "I'm not really that mad about it, but it does kind of hurt. Just promise to include me next time."

"You got it. Once we have turned ourselves and we figure out if and how we can do it to others, you'll be the first one I turn." Enzo promised.

"Thanks." Jane said and smiled.

They then turned their attention back to the auction.

Brian sold 10 sets of the 5 blood flowers before moving onto another set of flowers.

The flowers were called Wolf's Boon flowers, so it was easy to assume what the purpose of the flower is just based on its name.

'Werewolves…' Enzo thought to himself.

He needed to find out more about the strengths and weaknesses of each race soon, especially the werewolves. It is a known thing in pop culture that werewolves and vampires don't like each other. Enzo isn't sure if it will be the same in Legends Reborn Online, but if it is then he needs to be prepared.

The next set of flowers were called Dragons Loot and after that was Beasts Repentance. Just like the Wolf's Boon Enzo was able to predict just what these two flowers would be used for.
