Chapter 5- Equality is a myth

He was fatigued after refining energy till 3 a.m. and slept until 8 a.m. after waking up, his body was more lively than before.

After half an hour, the door to his room was opened, and two elderly people and a beautiful woman entered; they were Ying Yue and her adoptive parents. Bao greeted them both. And look at Yue; when she arrived in a rush yesterday, she was a little sweaty and her hair was messed up, but seeing her today was like meeting a different person.

Her hair was midnight-black that flowed over her shoulders, and she had honey-sweet lips that looked blossom soft. Her bosom was well-shaped for her age, and her eyes were blue, reflecting the deep ocean scenery.

Despite the fact that she was dressed formally, She had a sculpted figure, like the last single beam of light from the sunset illuminating the endless ocean's surface. She was a painted masterpiece. Even a fairy from the immortal world couldn't compete with her beauty in Bao's eyes.

Her cheeks flushed red after being stared at for a long time by Bao.

"How are you now feeling? Is there someplace on your body that you still feel uneasy?" asks Yue's adoptive father

"I feel better today, uncle Luo; it's because of all of you blessing me that I'm living again,"

"When did you start becoming good with words?" he joked.

They all began to giggle somewhat since, in the past, Bao had always been a silent or serious guy who didn't joke much.

Yue's adoptive father's name was Chen Luo, and his mother's name was Makoto Sumi. They were both from separate nations. When Yue's adoptive father Chen Luo was still a young man with aspirations and ambitions, he met sumi at a university, and she came into his life supporting his objectives and always believing in him.

They gradually grew in love with each other, and after several years of dating, Chen Luo summoned the courage to propose marriage to her; she accepted his proposal, and they married.

After returning to his native country, he intended to achieve his ambition of establishing the largest hospital in his nation; at the time, there were few hospitals that could give all forms of care.

At the start of the endeavor, Chen Luo had few supporters. Only his and his wife's family, as well as several of his acquaintances, believed in his ability to complete the project.

Soon after, that project began to show some success, and others began to invest in his project, and after 5 years, that project was completed, becoming one of the largest in the country. The word spread, and individuals from all across the country began to go there for treatment.

Chen Luo wanted to hand Yue the post of president at 21. Many people were skeptical of Luo's decision at first, but after watching her perform for a year, they realized she was a prodigy.

While they were conversing, the door to that room reopened. An old lady in her late 50s arrived; she was someone Bao respected; her name was shu heng, and she was accompanied by a small girl.

Shu heng was Yue and Bao Lim's caregiver; she was their mother figure while they were at an orphanage; she took them in when she was in her 30s.

There was a tiny forest behind their orphanage, and one day when cleaning the surrounding leaves, she heard someone screaming, and when she got there to see what it was, she discovered him abandoned in the forest, and she was the one who gave him the name Bao, which meaning Gem found in the forest. Three days later, while checking to see if all the children were sleeping, she heard another cry, this time from the same woodland in the rear.

It was a tranquil night, so she hurried to the source of the cries, where she discovered another kid who had been abandoned; it was night, so moonlight shone on that girl; she took her to the orphanage and named her Ying Yue, which meant Moon's reflection.

She was the only person Bao could call his family other than ying Yue and her family. Bao and Yue greeted her, as did old Luo and Sumi, who were relieved to find her well and still walking.

Yue returned home yesterday and informed her parents and the orphanage where Bao lim had spent the previous 18 years of his recovery.

"How are you doing, Shu? Still looking after the orphanage "Chen Luo inquired.

Despite the fact that Chen Luo was two years older than Shu Heng, everyone at the orphanage refers to her as her sister, therefore he refers to her as his sister as well.

"Old Luo, sister sumi, It's lovely to meet you two; it appears that you two raised Yue'er rather well "Shu heng responded

Old Luo and Sumi were frequent visitors to orphans and provided financial and political assistance; their friendship became deeper over time.

"It's all because to your teachings, sister Shu; she was well-mannered and we didn't do anything; shouldn't you be retiring by now?" Sumi said

"My bones are certainly becoming old; I already have someone to look after the orphanage; I simply have a few things to resolve before retiring." Shu heng responded

"We advised you to retire many times before you were so persistent," Sumi added.

"Shu, aunty Why don't you ask Uncle Luo for assistance with—-"

The small girl next to Shu heng spoke, but she was abruptly cut off by Shu heng.

"Yan'er, stop talking when grownups are conversing, go outside and wait" Shu heng scolded her, not because she wanted to hide something from old Luo, but because she didn't want to bring them into a mess.

"Did something happen, sister Shu? Why don't you tell us? We might be able to assist you in some way "old Luo told

"This…"

"Sister Shu, go outside first, Yue'er, stay here with Bao," Sumi instructed.

Bao had just recovered, and she didn't want him to hear any negative news since it would influence his mental state, so she asked to go outside. They left, leaving just two of them in the room.

"Aren't you concerned about what happened to sister Shu?" Yue'er asked.

"I will surely know when I am discharged; there is no need to rush things."

He responded, then changed the subject.

"You may have heard a lot, but I must admit, you look extremely gorgeous. Even immortal fairies would appear inferior in front of you," he said to her.

"""She flushed red"""

She didn't say anything for a long since she was ashamed to look at him after remembering how she had been weeping like a baby in his embrace the day before.

After some while, Bao spoke out.

"Do you know what's in this hospital's basement, Yue'er? And what are those symbols and markings? What is its purpose?"

"Did you go down to the basement?" Yue asked

"Yes, I saw marks and engravings that appeared to be some form of ritual,"

Even if he explained it to her, it would be too complicated for her to grasp, so he changed it into a simple ritual.

"Father once told me that once the building was finished, they held some sort of ritual ceremony for prosperity and long life down there," she explained.

Chen Luo's family has retained the belief since ancient times that ceremonial rites must be conducted in new structures every three years. To avoid becoming a sinner by violating their ancestral beliefs, the Luo performed a ceremonial procedure.

"Yue'er, have you seen that person who performed the ceremony?"

"Yes, it's an old man with ghostly eyes who wears the same robe every year, it's been about 3 years, he should come for ritual soon," Yue replied

"This year, I also want to see a ceremonial rite."

He said that but his main purpose was to confirm some things. After their chats were over, Yue's parents, together with Shu heng, entered the room. Their expression was gloomy, but Bao didn't inquire about the problems.

"Once you feel well, visit orphanage once in awhile" shu Heng told bao

"We're going now, we have some matters to attend to; if everything is well, you'll be discharged in a week," Chen Luo stated.

After saying that Shu heng and Yue's parents had departed, only Yue remained; as the president, her comments had a lot of weight, so she had to stay in hospital to attend meetings and other important things, but she sees Bao regularly in her spare time.

During the day, Bao would wander around the hospital, while he appeared to be walking around casually, he was investigating the hospital for more possible arrays, and at night, he would refine the energy in porcelain, this process that took him weeks to complete since the hospital was so large.

He discovered further array and energy-storing instruments, as expected, and refined all of them during the same week throughout the night. The amount of energy was initially large, but after purifying all of those energies into a pure misty form, it became the size of a soccer ball. Normally, energy cannot be manifested and observed until someone enters core formation, but it was so pure and visible that it could even form a droplet.

He could now easily lay his foundation, but establishing a foundation here was not a smart idea because the surrounding energy was primarily devoured by the array. He was condensing purified energy at night, a week had gone, and he would be discharged the next day.

The next day, Yue arrived early in the morning to discharge Bao and take him home. She was as gorgeous as before, but she had a frown on her face.

"Yue'er, what is the problem can you tell me now?"

He was aware that something was upsetting her since sister shu heng's visit, but he was not told of the nature of the problem.

"Not here, I'll tell you once we get home,"

He didn't press the issue; after completing all of the paperwork, Bao was discharged, and they drove home in her car.

After driving for half an hour, they arrived at their destination, which was a hilly area with greenery everywhere, everything surrounded by vegetation, the place was not crowded, only a few mansions could be seen, and only the wealthy could afford to live there; it was one of the city's main attraction sites.

Chen Luo, a director of one of the country's largest hospitals, had a lot of money to spend, so he bought a mansion in the hills where there is a tranquil environment. The mansion was enormous and elegant, with a garden, a fountain, and everything a mansion would have, including maids, gardeners, and other staff, so he could have peace of mind after retirement.

At the back of the mansion stood a massive old tree, a sacred fig/Bo tree that had been there when the mansion was built and had not been removed. It provided shade from the sun and was a pleasant spot to relax. According to Buddhist tradition, it is a sacred symbol in Buddhism and can help to quiet one's mind when meditating beneath it.

The sacred fig was old, and it resembled a spiritual plant but paled in comparison to the genuine thing. After witnessing many years of sun and moon, the tree has amassed a massive amount of energy that can aid him in his cultivation here.

It was the ideal location for him to lay his foundation, they got out of the car and went towards the doors, where the maids opened the door and greeted Yue and Bao

It was a luxury to be wealthy; someone was always there to meet your everyday needs. Bao was unimpressed by the sight. As a former supreme being of the immortal world, he had already lived the life of the wealthy and powerful, and he had witnessed fairies dancing and singing for numerous times. He became numb to this form of entertainment.

"Where have father and mother gone?" Yue asked of one of her maids

"Sir and my lady went outdoors not long ago," said the maid.

Luo and Sumi had been restless for a week after returning from the hospital, as if something was bugging them, something related to Shu heng and the orphanage.

Although most of the housekeeping was done by maids and other workers, Yue didn't overlook developing her home skills.

They both proceeded into the dining area where breakfast was prepared. They headed to their room after eating their meal.

"Could you tell me what happened to sister Shu that caused uncle and aunt so worried?"

"A month ago, sister Shu received a letter indicating that someone wanted to buy that plot of property, and the residents in the surrounding region received the same letter,"

"Why would someone want to buy such a vast area?"

"They indicated that they planned to build a factory in that region, and while many refused their offers and complained, those individuals were intimidated and some were beaten up, and in the end, they had to sell their property at a low price," Yue responded.

"Did sister Shu sell the orphanage?"

"No, she hasn't given up yet, but it's only a matter of time,"

"Did anyone call the cops or any other government officials?"

"They did, but it was useless; they wouldn't make a move or do anything further; father and mother are meeting with old friends for assistance,"

After learning everything, he was dissatisfied with what was going on. He understood the world isn't equal for everyone. It makes no difference whether it is the immortal world or this world.

Everyone will push you around if you don't have any power. The so-called equality we speak of is only by nature,

Equality is a myth.
