"We can't breach, we're suffering heavy casualties, we need cover! Where's the cover, bitch! Over."
A bearded man outside the perimeter wall cursed bitterly, but still, he didn't receive overwatch from the high ground, so he lifted his radio again and roared, "Are all of you dead up there? Serov! What the hell are you doing?"
Having no other options, the people standing outside the wall decided that if they still couldn't storm through the gate, they would have to blow up the wall.
This kind of thing had never happened in Baghdad before—the gate was open, yet they couldn't get in.
But they weren't ready to blow up the wall, and it would take some time to create an opening in the wall on the spot. However, too many of the assault team had already died, and even if they could make holes in the wall to initiate attacks from multiple points, they were running low on manpower.
