Otto arrived too late; by the time Smith had finished his business and left, Gao Guang had grown impatient waiting for him.
Originally, Otto didn't need to find Gao Guang directly, because as a rule, the issue between Otto and Jane was a matter between the couple, and Otto could have met with Jane on his own after arriving without going through Gao Guang.
But this time was different; this time, Jane was truly angry.
Coincidentally, as soon as Smith and Danny had left, Otto called Gao Guang.
"Where's Jane?"
He didn't say anything else, asking about Jane's whereabouts right off the bat, his tone urgent and unfriendly.
That was more like it.
Any man who suspected he was in danger of being cuckolded would not remain calm.
"Last night, Laura and I took her out of the bar. After arriving at my hotel, I got her a room, and then this morning, Jane told me she was going to work, so she left."
Otto rushed, "And then?"
"Then I don't know."
