"Hm, welcome back, big bro. Did you bring me some treats?"
The one to greet Jude as he returned to the orphanage by himself was Yuri, who was reading while sitting at the dinner table alone.
The reason Sera wasn't with him was that, on the way back to the orphanage, Sera ran into some of her friends and decided to spend some time with them, leaving only Jude to return by himself.
"No, are you the only one here?" Jude asked as he looked all around the orphanage with a questioning look on his face, "Where is everyone else?"
"The Psycho twins went back out to play, and Big Sis went out somewhere."
"And what are you doing? You look bored just reading a book. "
"It's more interesting than you think."
"Are you sure, now that I'm here I can keep you company?"
"I'll pass. I'd rather not get beat up."
What a shame kids these days don't know the true meaning of brotherhood. Back in the good old days, a brotherly scuffle was the true way to bond as siblings, or so he read. In truth, Jude never had any siblings in his past life, so he didn't really know for sure, as all his information came from the internet and some novels he read while he was bored.
Growl-
It would seem that running around the forest for almost 4 hours had taken a toll on Jude, as his stomach was starting to growl in a plea for some food.
"Yuri, do you want something to eat?" Jude asked as he walked into the kitchen in search of some food.
"Mn"
Leftover rice and some fish, although not much, it was enough to satisfy his stomach before dinner time. Filling up two bowls with food in a matter of minutes, Jude headed back to the dinner table where Yuri was waiting.
"I'm here to serve, young master."
"Mn, thank you."
Nom, Nom, Nom
Silence-
Yuri lowered his spoon as he looked up at Jude, who had a strange expression on his face. Jude looked like he was deep in thought as if he was about to lose something important to him.
"Big Bro, what's on your mind?" Yuri asked.
"Hmm? It's nothing. I just have a bad feeling about something. "
"Bad feeling?"
"Yeah, ever since coming back from the forest, I've been having this bad feeling."
An intuition that had saved Jude many times in the past, whether he liked to admit it or not, was one of the reasons Jude was able to survive for as long as he did in the past was due to this intuition that had never failed him.
"Something bad is going to happen soon."
Unfortunately, Jude didn't have the ability to see the future, nor did he have the ability to change anything. Who, What, Where, When, Why, How? Jude didn't have the special ability to know any of these things. He was just a kid who lived in an orphanage.
"Let's just hope the adults are going to be able to deal with whatever is to come."
"Are you sure you're not just overthinking things?"
"I hope that is the case," Jude said as he smiled mixed in with some sorrow.
With a new body in a new world, Jude had reincarnated and things are different from before so,
(There is no way I still have my sixth sense, right?)
Yawn-
"Haah, I'm tired. I'm going to take a nap. Wake me if anything happens."
"Yessir," Yuri replied as he saluted Jude, who was heading to the bedroom to sleep.
******
"Haahaa"
The sound of running.
"S-Someone save me please."
The sound of someone crying for help.
GAAAGH!!
The sound of a monster screaming,
All around him was blood, fire, and an endless amount of despair.
It was a sight that would make any sane person run away in fear, especially someone who didn't have the power to do anything about it.
At some point, he was the same, but now it was a sight that he had long gotten used to.
He didn't have the power to change anything, and no matter how much stronger he became, it all seemed pointless.
He watches as his friends and all those he cared about fade.
He watched on as his heart became numb to the pain.
All he could do was watch on.
Looking up at the clear dark sky that looked like an endless void.
How long the sky had been like that?
Who knows, all he knew was that he had forgotten how the bright blue sky looked.
In a world filled with an endless amount of darkness and despair,
He, who was more beautiful, kinder, and braver than anyone else, watched on as the world continued to succumb to the eternal darkness.

"Haa Haa"
Breathing heavily, Jude quickly got up from his bed as his body was covered in sweat.
"What a shitty dream," Jude said as he wiped the sweat from his brow. "It still haunts me even in another world."
No matter where they run, a person's past will never disappear.
Memories are meant to stick, whether they are good ones or bad ones.
"Haah,"
He roughly shook his head to clear his mind, but before Jude could do anything else, a person slammed the door open as hard as he could before yelling as loud as he could.
"Emergency, m-monsters are attacking," Yuri said with an urgent voice.
Without a moment's hesitation, Jude ran out of the room before exiting the orphanage through the front door.
"Haahaa"
The sound of running
S-Someone save me please."
The sound of someone crying for help.
GAAAGH!!
The sound of a monster screaming,
Although Jude didn't know how much time had passed since he fell asleep, it seemed as though the sun was almost set, but that didn't matter to him at the moment.
"FU*K" Looking at the scene in front of him that reminded him of the past, Jude couldn't help but swear, as once again his intuition was on point.
