**In the Ward of Michelle and Cheng Dong at North Lantau Hospital**
**6:30 PM**
Jiale opened the door and entered.
"Oh! My future sister-in-law is quite impatient! Do be cautious of your husband's injury," Jiale said with a grin.
"Brother Jiale," Michelle responded shyly.
Cheng Dong remained silent, offering no reply.
"Why are you still upset with me, brother? Your fiancée hasn't betrayed you. I instructed her to say that on purpose. Otherwise, what's with the anger?" Jiale inquired.
"I'm sorry, Brother Jiale," Cheng Dong murmured.
"Fool! Brother Jiale has never been angry. Just remember to invite me to your wedding. I'm busier now as a doctor than when I was a celebrity!" Jiale remarked.
The trio shared a laugh.
**At Jazz, the Bar Doctor Club – 10 PM**
Jiale sat drinking alone when Scott and his friends walked in and spotted him. Scott patted him on the shoulder.
"Hey! Man! You know hitting a Chinese on the shoulder brings bad luck. Only you, Scott, would do that," Jiale exclaimed.
"Why are you drinking alone? Heartbroken?" Scott queried.
"You, a handsome mixed-blood doctor, have had girlfriends from Hong Kong to Japan. When will it be my turn, Gu Jiale? Heartbroken? How can I be heartbroken if I've never loved her?" Jiale retorted.
"You and I have been brothers for nearly a decade. How can I not see the affection in your eyes? You're in love with Michelle Chan. I can tell she likes you too. But alas, her heart belongs to Cheng Dong. She's willing to sacrifice for love, knowing that even with a bone marrow transplant, Cheng Dong's life remains uncertain. It's truly heartbreaking. I, Scott, am not that noble," Scott stated.
"I'll always be there for Michelle. If Cheng Dong dies, I will step in for him," Jiale declared.
"Ah, another lovesick man. All Chinese men are so infatuated," Scott replied.
**Three Weeks Later – The Day of Discharge, June 2, 2008**
**In Cheng Dong's Ward at North Lantau Hospital – 12 Noon**
Mrs. Song arrived at the hospital to take Cheng Dong home.
"I took a special leave today to bring Master Song home. Your fiancée's family has come to Hong Kong. They're waiting for you at your villa," Jiale informed him.
"You mean Uncle Chen, Aunty Chen, and Mi Qiang are all here?" Cheng Dong asked, surprised.
"Yes, our family wants to propose to them and present betrothal gifts. Have you forgotten? We agreed to set the wedding date for the 18th of this month!" Mrs. Song chided.
"Yes, I forgot," Cheng Dong acknowledged.
"Honestly, you haven't introduced your in-laws to us yet. It'll be awkward later!" Mr. Song added with a smile.
"The Chen family is very friendly. Don't worry," Cheng Dong replied.
"I'll pick you up at the shuttle bus station in Discovery Bay," Jiale said.
"No need! It's only a five-minute walk! I, Song Cheng Dong, am as strong as an ox!" Cheng Dong declared.
"Alright then, enjoy your evening," Jiale said.
**Half an Hour Later**
Mr. Song and Cheng Dong entered the villa.
"Song Cheng Dong! Welcome home!" everyone exclaimed.
"Uncle Chen, Aunty Chen! Mi Qiang, Jialing, it's great to see all of you!" Cheng Dong greeted.
"And we're here too!" Jie Xun and Joey chimed in.
"You two are such troublemakers!" Cheng Dong said playfully.
"Cheng Dong, what's the matter? Why are they causing trouble?" Michelle asked with a smile.
Upon seeing Michelle, Cheng Dong embraced her tightly.
"Finally, I can hug you while healthy!" he said joyfully.
"Oh! Man! As soon as I got better, I couldn't wait to show off my future wife!" Chengdong replied with a smile.
Everyone laughed.
"Oh, by the way, Uncle Chen, Aunty Chen, these are my parents," Cheng Dong introduced.
"No need for introductions. I've known your father for quite some time. I didn't realize Mr. Song was so successful with all these large hotels," Yongkang said.
"What!? I thought Uncle Song was just a negotiator?" Michelle asked, surprised.
"You've been with Cheng Dong for seven years, yet you didn't know your in-laws are part of the third largest corporate group in Korea? They own the Song Hotel Group, and this year they are expanding into Hong Kong and China," Huiping explained.
"You're too kind, in-law. We're embarrassed. Due to our careers, we hardly even know what our son has accomplished," Mrs. Song said.
Cheng Dong's expression changed noticeably.
"I'll take the luggage to the room first," he stated.
"Adong, I'll handle it. You stay with your parents," Michelle insisted.
"No need! Just stay with them!" Cheng Dong said firmly.
He took the luggage upstairs.
"Uncle, Aunty, I apologize for Cheng Dong's demeanor," Michelle said.
"It's nothing. He's always been like this, especially when discussing matters at home. He was quite withdrawn until he turned 17, and it was only after meeting Michelle that he improved," Mrs. Song shared.
As Michelle ascended to the room, she found Cheng Dong changing clothes.
"Ah, are you changing? I'll step out for a moment," she said.
Cheng Dong, shirtless, pulled her into a tight embrace.
"Wife, I've missed you so much. Just a quick hug," he said.
They shared a passionate kiss, but Michelle eventually pushed him away.
"Put your clothes back on. We have guests downstairs," she reminded him.
"Alright, my wife's wish is my command!" Cheng Dong replied cheerfully.
"I'll head downstairs first," Michelle said.
"Let's go down together," Cheng Dong suggested.
"Honestly, you're so mischievous when you're happy," Michelle said, shaking her head.
They made their way downstairs together, enjoying a delightful evening.
**Three Hours Later**
"Uncle and Aunty, which hotel are you staying at?" Cheng Dong inquired.
"We're at the hotel in Discovery Bay. Our entire family is there," Yongkang replied.
"We'll take the electric car to drop you off. You all can return home. Xiaoxue, you stay here and help with the housework when I return," Cheng Dong instructed.
"Alright, take care," Michelle replied.
**Forty-Five Minutes Later**
**Outside Cheng Dong's Villa – 10 PM**
Michelle anxiously scanned the distance. Just then, Mrs. Gu came out to dispose of the trash.
"Auntie, you're still up this late? Jiale hasn't returned yet?" Michelle asked.
"He's on a night shift tonight. I doubt he'll be back until morning," Mrs. Gu replied.
At that moment, Cheng Dong parked the car and approached.
"Auntie Gu!" he called out.
"Cheng Dong, you look much better. Jiale informed me that your surgery was a success," Mrs. Gu said warmly.
"Yes! Thanks to my loving wife's bone marrow and jiale expertise," Cheng Dong responded happily.
"Let's head home and not disturb Aunt Gu. You must be tired," Michelle suggested.
They walked into the house together.
**In the Kitchen of Cheng Dong's Villa – 10:10 PM**
"Wife, let me assist you," Cheng Dong offered.
They tidied up the kitchen in less than half an hour.
**In Cheng Dong's Room**
"So tired! Michelle, want to take a shower together?" Cheng Dong asked.
"Not a chance! I'll take care of it myself," Michelle replied playfully.
A few days later, Michelle and Cheng Dong busied themselves with wedding preparations.
**June 10, 2008 – 2 PM**
**At Baizhi Bridal Shop**
"Vice President Song, your suit fits perfectly," the clerk remarked.
Cheng Dong anxiously awaited Michelle's appearance.
"Don't worry. Miss Chen is ready," the clerk assured him.
At that moment, Michelle emerged from the fitting room in a stunning low-cut wedding dress.
Cheng Dong couldn't resist pulling her in for a hug and kissing her.
"Hey! There are so many people here! Don't be shy!" Michelle whispered.
"My wife is truly beautiful!" Cheng Dong exclaimed loudly.
They began taking wedding photos.
"They make a perfect couple! Truly made for each other," onlookers commented.
"Vice President Song, your photo is gorgeous. May we use it for decoration outside our store?" the owner asked.
"Wife, what do you think?" Cheng Dong inquired.
"Boss, could I get a discount?" Michelle asked playfully.
"Of course! I'll give you a 30% discount!" the owner replied.
"Alright," Michelle agreed.
The following day, they ventured to different locations for more wedding photos.
**June 11, 2008 – 7 PM**
**In a Room at Cheng Dong's Villa**
"Ah! So exhausted!" Michelle exclaimed.
"Should we cook or go out for a meal?" Cheng Dong suggested.
"Let's try a western restaurant," Michelle replied.
They drove out to the fish and chips café in Discovery Bay Market.
**7:15 PM**
"How did you discover this café? You don't come here often," Cheng Dong inquired.
"A friend brought me here," Michelle explained.
"Brother Jiale?" Cheng Dong asked, slightly annoyed.
"Oh! Song Cheng Dong! I'm about to be your wife, and you're still jealous after sharing a night with you?" Michelle replied with a smile.
