Chapter 19- Please leave immediately!

**July 6, 2008 - Hong Kong**

**Mid-Levels Private Hospital, Emergency Room - 5 PM**

As Ka-lok, an emergency doctor, stood outside the emergency room, he witnessed Michelle being rushed in with blood visible on her face. Shortly after, Cheng-tung was wheeled in, his lower body also covered in blood.

"What happened to them?" Ka-lok inquired, surprised.

"Scott has been notified to come down. You should attend to other matters," replied Dr. Ho.

Ka-lok noticed a police officer alongside the vehicle's owner.

"Officer! What happened to my friend? How could the car accident be so severe?!" Jiale exclaimed, visibly distressed.

"We're unsure at this point. The car owner reported the incident; you might want to ask him," the officer responded.

"I was following behind their car. They were driving steadily, but suddenly, the car lost control. I only saw the woman pushing the man out of the vehicle. I didn't have time to brake and ended up hitting him. The lady was in a worse state; she wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the car," the driver recounted, trembling.

"Thank you," Jiale said in response.

At that moment, Scott arrived. Spotting Jiale, he hurried over.

"Jiale, how are they?!" Scott asked anxiously.

"Both are in serious condition," Jiale replied.

"First, notify their relatives. I'll head to the operating room to assist," Scott instructed before entering the operating room. Jiale then made calls to inform the Song and Chen families.

Three hours later, Michelle and Chengdong had yet to emerge from surgery, and Jiale was filled with anxiety.

**Emergency Room - 9 PM**

Mrs. Song arrived, her face etched with worry.

"Jiale, how are our son and daughter-in-law? How did this accident happen?!" she asked urgently.

"I need to speak with you immediately. Please come to my office," Jiale replied.

**In Jiale's Office**

"Uncle, Aunt, if Chengdong wakes up and recovers, please take him away from Michelle. I will care for her. A husband like him is too dangerous!" Jiale declared angrily.

"Jiale, why do you say that? What's going on?!" Mr. Song questioned, astonished.

"The car accident was intentional! Chengdong is responsible! He should have told you the truth. On their wedding day, he officially had terminal cancer; his condition has worsened, and he's emotionally unstable. I never expected he would harm Michelle! He's lost his mind!" Jiale explained, his anger palpable.

"What!? What do you mean it was intentional?! Why didn't he tell us about his serious condition?!" Mr. Song demanded.

"His nature hasn't changed; he keeps his worries to himself. Yet, he loves Michelle deeply. As his condition deteriorates, his body is showing more bruises, and his feet are swollen," Jiale answered.

"My poor child!" Mrs. Song wept.

Just then, a nurse opened the door to Jiale's office.

"Doctor Gu, Mr. Song Chengdong has been brought out of surgery. While his condition is stable, he may be partially disabled due to the severe impact. Miss Chen's condition, however, remains critical," the nurse informed sadly.

"Did you hear that!? He has done this to Michelle! If I had known he would end up like this, I would never have allowed their marriage!" Jiale reacted angrily.

"We should see our son first," Mr. Song suggested.

An hour later, Mi Qiang, along with Mr. and Mrs. Chen, arrived at the hospital.

**Outside the ICU - 10:30 PM**

Mi Qiang grasped Jiale's sleeve tightly.

"This is absurd! Who caused my sister's serious injuries?!" he demanded angrily.

"Chengdong and Michelle were in a car accident on their way back to the hospital," Jiale replied.

"On their way back to the hospital?!" Mrs. Chen exclaimed in disbelief.

"Who is sick?!" Mr. Chen asked, confused.

"Chengdong is unwell. His cancer has relapsed and is now at a terminal stage," Jiale explained.

At that moment, Mr. and Mrs. Song walked from Chengdong's ward to the ICU and knelt.

"I'm sorry! We are deeply sorry! It's all our son's fault! We apologize on his behalf!" the Song couple cried.

"What do you mean?!" Mr. Chen asked, shocked.

"Our son has always been withdrawn and has struggled with his emotions. He must have felt he wanted to die alongside Michelle because of his love for her. We are truly sorry!" Mr. Song replied.

Mrs. Chen struck Mr. Song in anger.

"Apologies won't bring our daughter back! Who will compensate us if she dies?!" she cried.

Suddenly, a commotion erupted from Chengdong's room, prompting everyone to rush inside.

**In Chengdong's Ward - 11 PM**

Several male nurses struggled to keep Chengdong in bed.

"Mr. Song! Please calm down! You cannot get out of bed; you just had surgery!" one nurse shouted.

The Chen family settled down upon seeing Chengdong's condition.

"Let go of me! I need to see my wife! Where is she?" Chengdong exclaimed, agitated.

Jiale slapped Chengdong across the face.

"Song Chengdong! Have you lost your mind?! If you want to die, go ahead! Why drag Michelle into this? She's still in the ICU. If she dies, let's see what you'll do! Are you worthy of the Chen family?" Jiale shouted.

"If she dies, I can't go on living either! I will jump if she dies! I only have three months left to live! There's no point in surviving!" Chengdong retorted, distressed.

"Fine! If Michelle dies, you'll follow suit!" Jiale responded angrily.

Mi Qiang and Mr. Chen pulled Jiale back.

"Enough! He's lost it! Stop torturing him. If my daughter dies, it's fate; she married the wrong man!" Mr. Chen yelled back.

At that moment, a nurse rushed into Chengdong's room.

"Doctor Gu, urgent help is needed in the operating room. Miss Chen's condition is critical!" the nurse said urgently.

Jiale and the nurse rushed into the operating room, with Mr. and Mrs. Chen and Mi Qiang following closely. Mr. and Mrs. Song helped Chengdong out of the wheelchair and pushed him toward the operating room.

**In the Operating Room - 11:30 PM**

"Jiale, her condition is dire. The impact to her head is severe, and her face has been badly lacerated by glass shards," Scott explained.

"Nurse, please bring Mi Qiang in," Jiale instructed.

The nurse exited and soon returned.

"Who is Mr. Mi Qiang?" the nurse inquired.

"It's me," Mi Qiang replied.

"Doctor Gu needs you to come into the operating room," the nurse stated.

Mi Qiang entered the operating room and was taken aback by Mi Xue's appearance.

"Sister!?" Mi Qiang gasped.

"Mi Qiang, I need you and your parents to cooperate with me. I will tell Chengdong and his parents that Mi Xue has died. I want him to stay away from her immediately. I cannot allow him to hurt her again," Jiale explained.

"Jiale, do you care for my sister too? But this is cruel to Chengdong, especially since he's now partially paralyzed," Mi Qiang said.

"I do care for Mi Xue. However, I don't want her to suffer any longer. It's better to endure short pain than prolonged agony. Chengdong's time is limited; even with treatment, he may only last a year," Jiale replied.

"Why is this happening? How serious is it?" Mi Qiang asked sadly.

"Chengdong has been keeping everything to himself, afraid of losing Mi Xue. Afterward, take your parents to the lounge to explain," Jiale instructed.

Mi Qiang nodded and exited the operating room.

**Outside the Operating Room - 12:30 AM**

"Mom and Dad, let's go to the lounge to handle some procedures," Mi Qiang suggested.

"Mi Qiang?! What's happened to Mi Xue?! Tell me!" Chengdong pleaded anxiously.

"You got what you wanted! My sister has died because of you! Are you satisfied? Mom and Dad, let's go!" Mi Qiang shot back angrily.

Hearing this, Chengdong pounded on the operating room door.

"Xiao Xue! Xiao Xue! I'm outside! Please respond! I can't live without you! Why am I still alive?!" Chengdong cried out in distress.

Overwhelmed with emotion and the resurgence of his illness, Chengdong fainted, prompting nearby nurses to rush him to the emergency room.
