No more Thieves Guild

While the Black Knight was tracking Draven, Draven was in the room with Martiland, who just kept tapping his foot on the ground nervously. After Martiland talked to Mirith about delivering Sarah's equipment, Draven locked the doors exiting the sewers. By locking the gates, he entrapped the thieves inside and stopped them from calling reinforcement or the soldiers of Veland.

On the other hand, Sarah was busy inspecting the crates delivered to Martiland's room by Mirith. Draven pretended to be one of Martiland's thieves and received the crates at the gates instead of letting Mirith and his men inside.

Draven counted ten crates. Each crate was six feet wide and three feet tall. Sarah opened each wooden crate and inspected the equipment on a thick bed made of hay stacks.

"Everything seems to be here," Sarah informed Draven after closing the last crate which contained the thirty-two-inch mirrors she asked,

"Now I'm sure you have some secret way to get out of here. Open it up and we'll be on our way"

"No, let me eat his soul" Margoth growled only to be ignored by Draven,

For the first time in a long time, MArtilan heaved a sigh of relief. He quickly walked to one of the book racks and pulled down a book. And soon as he did that, the book rack creaked open to reveal a musky dimly lit pathway leading somewhere else.

"Sarah, can you quickly find me a safe house using the equipment now?"

Draven noticed several handheld mirrors in one of those crates and knew a person with Sarah's caliber could hack into UFH crystal servers and find them an excellent temporary hideout.

Just as Draven expected, Sarah opened one of the crates nearby, took out a black mirror, and a few crystal orbs, and connected the mirror with golden wires.

The crystals orbs were called Hyper systems. When connected with Etherian waves transferring information from UFH's one server to another, Hyper systems could create a back door to the servers. Although it sounded simple, hijacking Etherians waves was not only a criminal act, it's also highly dangerous. A simple misstep and the Hypersystems would explode and create a mini black hole that would swallow everything in the ten-meter radius if they were lucky.

Draven patiently waited, looking at Sarah drawing several symbols on the glowing mirror and tapping the Hypersystems continuously until the blue light coming from the orbs turned emerald green,

"I am in,"

Martiland was startled by the speed of her hacking. Ignoring the stunned face of Martiland, Sarah tapped the mirror a few more times before turning her gaze back to Draven,

"There's an abandoned steel factory nearby. If we go now, we'll reach there within thirty minutes,"

Draven nodded. He got everything he wanted from Martiland except one last thing,

"You have one more thing I want," Draven stepped towards Martiland who was sitting on the edge of his chair,

"What?" Martiland shuddered as Draven placed his hand on Martiland's face,

"Your life,"

Sling!

The very next moment, hot blood splashed across the table from Martiland's face. He was instantly killed by the hidden sword that protruded his head.

"Ah!" Sarah squeaked in shock. She didn't expect this as she thought Draven would let him live since he told Martilan he would let him live.

Immediately Margoth's ghostly head appeared over Draven's shoulder for a moment to swallow Martiland's soul,

[Soul Absorption finished…]

[100 Soul Energy has been absorbed from Martiland]

"Tasty. Drenched in evil," Margoth licked his lips,

"You…you…killed…him," Sarah stuttered but in a blink of an eye, Draven disappeared from her sight.

Her hands shivered as she retrieved the bee she used to monitor him when she was in the alchemy guild from her robe pocket. Holding the bee in one hand, she tapped the mirror with the other. Then the bee flapped his wings, taking off from her palm.

"NO!"

"No no no no no…"

"ARRRRGGGGHHHH!"

"Kill him!"

"Where is he?!"

She felt a chill running through her spine hearing the screams coming from next door.

"Ha haha hahaha" following the screams, Sarah heard the mad laughter of Margoth echoing through the silent sewers. As she moved the bee to the hall where the thieves were, her face turned pale. In the mirror, she saw Draven teleporting back and forth massacring all the thieves without showing a shred of mercy.

Some tried to run but Draven appeared in a flash and stabbed them with his sword.

"Gods," Sarah's legs turned to jelly as she collapsed to the ground,

She couldn't take it anymore. Just within a couple of days, Draven had killed so many people and she was an accomplice to all those murders.

The mirror slipped out of her hand due to the sweat forming up on her palm. Still, in the corner of her eyes, she could see Draven slashing and dashing the thieves at full speed.

His face turned completely red because of the blood spilled from the thieves. Coupled with his pair of red wings, he looked like a devil incarnate.

"Yeahhhh, kill them. Yes yes!" Margoth was swallowing their souls as soon as Draven killed them. With the right vision, one could see white smoke departing from the dead bodies and entering Draven.

"Noooo….please…please…let me go….I have a family…." a brown-haired thief begged Draven when he approached her with blood dripping down his sword,

She went to her knees and banged her head on the floor, crying for mercy. The female thief was one of the five survivors in the hall,

"Do me a favor. Tell everyone what happened here" Draven lifted her by her chin with his bloody sword,

"From now on, there is no thief guild in Veland,"

"Yes…yes…my lord…please I will do as you said" the woman cried her eyes out. For a few moments, Draven looked around at the dead bodies. Looking at the bloody mess he made, he knew he should feel some remorse but he felt none.

While she was shivering in utter terror, Draven removed the old worn-out brown jacket he was wearing and threw it on the ground. Then, he bent down to pick up the long black leather coat from one of the thieves.

But before putting it on, he tore two gnashes in the back of the coat.

"I like your style," Margoth appreciated Draven's look,

The five who survived collapsed to the ground after Draven disappeared from their sight. More than thirty thieves were massacred in a few minutes.

When Draven returned to Martiland's room, he saw Sarah staring at him with a pale face. In addition, she was shivering uncontrollable,

"Oh quit being such a pussy. You should have already gotten used to all the blood and gore by now," Margoth growled at her in his demonic voice,

She was already scared shitless but after hearing his threatening tone, she was completely horrified. It took her a few minutes to move her rigid body.

[The host has enough soul energy to increase the power limit]

[Does the host wish to increase the power limit?]

"Yes," Draven said to the system telepathically while tying all the crates together with a rope so he could pull them through the tunnel.

As soon as Draven confirmed, he felt an acute pain all over his body. He felt as though he was being stabbed by thousands of needles at the same time. The pain lasted for a minute before it disappeared completely,

[Congratulations! The Hose can have up to 5 powers]

As soon as Draven summoned the system, everything around him paused.

He was then presented with the familiar status window with a few changes than previous. One of the first changes he noticed was a new power 'Short distance teleportation. As per how shorter, the system gave him no answer. He figured that he has to use the power to its full extent to understand the power.

The next change was his Legend Status. It went from 'Nobody' to 'Mysterious Killer'.

Leaving a final look at the room and the Martiland whose face was covered in blood and eyes were still open, Draven walked into the tunnel followed by Sarah. He pulled the crates with the rope, disappearing into the darkness.
