Bloody Hallway Fight

The soldiers who witnessed Draven nearly killing their fellow soldiers, their intention changed from apprehending Draven to breaking his bones. In their anger, they failed to ask themselves whether they were dealing with a normal human or a gifted one. Unfortunately for the soldiers, the one standing before them was a pissed angry killing machine.

When the first soldier pushed his spear aiming for Draven's head, Draven swayed his body to the side, grabbed the spear, and pulled the spear towards him. His pull had enough force to make the soldier stumble forward.

Ding!

Ding!

Draven hit the soldier with the two broken spear pieces, which functioned as Draven's batons as the soldier was stumbling forward. Although the helmet saved the soldier from getting mortally wounded, it couldn't absorb the force of Draven's attack. In addition, the berserker pill Draven consumed boosted his power to the point he possessed inhuman strength and speed.

The first soldier collapsed down as Draven stomped his head rapidly to terrify the others.

"Bastard!"

"You fucker!"

The angry soldiers who stood way behind the line shouted at Draven without any fear. On the contrary, the two soldiers who stood closer to Draven shuddered.

Suddenly, Draven disappeared from their sight and reappeared behind the two soldiers. He immediately grabbed the two soldiers by their heads and smashed them against each other.

Clang!

The two metal helmets produced a loud, sickening metal clashing sound as Draven turned around with his blood-red eyes,

Whoosh!

A soldier several meters away from Draven threw his spear with deadly accuracy. The spear would have impaled his head if Draven had no inhuman reflex. But, since it wasn't the case, Draven caught the spear in the middle and threw it back at the soldier.

Whoosh!

"AH!" the soldier screamed as the spear impaled his shoulder through the metal armor. His blood splashed across the hallway as well as onto the soldiers nearby.

Before his body could hit the floor, Draven dashed at the soldier a meter in front of him. Unfortunately, the soldier wasn't quick to react. Hence, Draven leaped into the air, 540 kicking him in the head.

The force of the kick knocked down the soldier and even produced a weak shock wave that made the portraits hanging on the wall drop to the ground.

Pulch!

At the exact time Draven's feet touched the ground, the two soldiers reacted quickly and stabbed Draven. He evaded one spear, but the other one went straight through his shoulder. The armor resisted the spear, but still, it couldn't stop the razor-sharp spear from impaling Draven.

With the spear sticking through his shoulder, Draven threw half the spear onto the soldier who missed and the other onto the one who just stabbed him.

Cling!

Cling!

The two batons hit them right on the faces, momentarily stunning them.

"Argh," Draven growled as he pulled out the spear from his shoulder. The hot blood immediately gushed out of the wound, but Draven didn't feel any pain.

Instead, he just yanked the spear from the soldier's hand.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

This time, almost six soldiers ganged up on Draven. Thanks to the narrow hallway, the number was limited to only six. Still, the six of them swung their spears in all directions, and some of them hit Draven's face with enough force to split open his forehead,

The thick blood oozed out of Draven's forehead, shoulder, and mouth. But despite the wounds, Draven stabbed a soldier right through the shoulder before head butting one soldier to the ground.

When the opponent was too close, the spears would lose their effectiveness. At least in the hands of the soldiers who weren't trained martial arts masters in mount tumbad. The soldiers quickly realized it and dropped their spears to the ground instead of harming their fellow soldiers by swinging blindly.

In an instance, they went from spear battle to close combat fist fight. They thought their superior number would give them an advantage over Draven.

Draven yet again disappeared from the middle and appeared behind the last soldier in the hallway.

"Look!"

The soldiers who noticed Draven appearing behind the soldier yelled at him. But it was too late as Draven grabbed the soldier's head with both hands and drove it straight onto the wall nearby.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Draven kept banging his head as the portraits dropped to the ground one by one. Immediately the other soldiers reacted by throwing their spears at Draven simultaneously. They were fast, but Draven's reflex was faster as he disappeared.

However, when Draven appeared again in the middle of four soldiers, a spear stuck through his left thigh. The spear stabbed him before he teleported. Draven pulled out the spear, which came out cutting through his muscles in the thigh. It would have hurt like hell if he hadn't consumed the berserker pill.

The three soldiers jumped at Draven and punched Draven left and right with their metal fists. Among the three, one soldier stabbed Draven in the gut twice with his dagger before Draven broke his wrist. Then, Draven quickly pulled out the dagger sticking through his guts and stabbed the two soldiers in the exposed underarm.

When Draven pulled himself up and looked at the rest, the soldiers shuddered. His face was swollen and painted red with his blood, and his armor was torn and bleeding, yet he stood up as if nothing had happened to him.

"I can do this all day," Draven growled, gesturing to the soldiers before him to come at him.

The soldiers who guarded the castle were psychologically trained not to be afraid of gifted ones. Thus, Draven's teleportation shocked them, but it couldn't make them terrified of him.

Yet again, the soldiers blindly dashed at him as Draven stomped the ground to force the spear half he threw to his hand. But, unlike the soldiers, Draven didn't dash at them without a plan. Instead, he just kept teleporting to and away from them. Each time Draven appeared closer to them, he swung his spear half as fast as he could.

He grabbed a nearby shoulder by his neck and kept hitting his head with the spear until three soldiers grabbed Draven from behind.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

But the soldiers couldn't stop Draven from bending the metal helmet out of shape. When the soldier dropped to the ground, Draven teleported out of their clutch.

Draven pushed himself to the limit by disappearing and appearing again faster and faster. Whenever he appeared near a soldier, he brutally beat the soldier to the ground.

Several minutes later, when the berserker pill's effect was slowly fading away, only five soldiers remained between him and the door.

[Ding! Legend increased]

[The host has earned 50 Legend Points]

[The host has earned 40 Legend Points]

[The host has earned 30 Legend Points]

Along with the excruciating pain in his body, Draven kept screaming in his head until the legend points hit the 1000 points mark. Then, Draven's lips curved upwards.

"Let's finish this," Draven stumbled as he leaned on the wall to steady himself.

He took a couple of deep breaths. Then, as the effects of the berserker pill faded away, he returned to his normal physique and began to feel the aching pain everywhere in his body.

Fighting the pain by gritting his teeth, Draven dashed at the two soldiers, tore away the light orb from the wall, and smashed it on a soldier's head.

The glass orb shattered into pieces.

After knocking out all the soldiers, Draven dropped to his knees. He was gasping for air,

"God damn it Draven. I told you not to take any stupid risks," Margoth appeared over Draven's soldier and looked at Draven's bloody face.

"I have a plan,"

Draven went through all that pain not because he didn't have a plan but because he wanted to raise his Legend points. The system mentioned that anything is possible as long as he has enough points.

What if I could bring back my family? That was the question Draven kept asking himself. He was torn between hope and unrealistic expectations. Nonetheless, deep down Draven felt like there was hope in the form of the Legendary system.

Besides, by fighting the soldiers, he earned 1000 Legend points. Margoth had zero clues that Draven was planning to do something that would either get him thousands of legend points in one go or reveal him to the entire Veland, making him the target of every criminal and villain in Veland.

Picking himself from the floor, Draven turned around and limped to the door at the hallway's end, leaving a bloody trail. But, when he twisted the golden knob, he was welcomed by a gloomy empty room with a wooden platform and a lever beside it.

Draven stepped onto the platform and moved the liver using his remaining strength. Instantly, the platform trembled as it began to move down.

"What was your plan?" Margoth asked, looking around the dark gray walls,

"Take the king hostage,"
