“It’s not happening Olivia you’ll just have to come up with some kind of excuse for me staying inside this room. From here on out but I’m not leaving.” Pauly repeated again.


“He’s going to grow suspicious Pauly.” I sighed sitting down in my office chair. I placed my elbows against the wood of my desk before settling my head in my hands. 


“Let him. But I’m not going to risk your safety for his comfort.” Pauly said lowly. 


“Pauly…” I said looking up from my hands. “Pauly… I’m fine.” 


“You promised me at the beginning of all this that you’d trust me, Olivia. I’ve never asked a damn thing from you; all I’ve done this entire time is give into your questions, demands, and requests. I need you to trust me—” 


“Then come up with some damned excuse for me to stay in here with you all day because I’m not losing you too!” Pauly’s voice raised, the shock of it startled the both of us.
