Riley’s POV
By the time I get out of the shower, Theo is nowhere in sight, but he has left a change of clothes for me in front of the bathroom door. I take it, aware that these are his clothes, and I can't help but sink my face into them, feeling the scent of his skin permeating the garments.
“Theo?” I emerge from the bathroom wearing one of his T-shirts and a pair of sweatpants that are too big for me and that I've had to roll around several times to keep them from dragging on the floor. But Theo is nowhere to be found.
Sighing, I walk over to the soft sofa and climb onto it. I feel too tired and groggy from everything that has happened. Before I know it, I'm asleep.
I wake up to the familiar touch of hands gently grasping me. My first instinct is to startle, but as soon as I meet Theo's green eyes on me, I calm down.
“Calm down,” he whispers. “I'm just going to put you to bed.”
A growl leaves my lips in response, but I wrap my arms around his neck and let him lift me up.
