Riley Gray is the daughter of a corrupt cop who taught her all sorts of tricks to turn her into an expert thief. One day, Riley discovers that her father put them in a mess she can only get out of by stealing from the richest man in town: Theodore Maddox. To save her sister, Riley agrees, but eventually gets discovered by the attractive young man to whom she desperately tells the truth. Curiously, he doesn't seem interested in putting her in jail, but offers Riley a deal instead: if she steals an important jewel for him, Theo will pay her father's debt. But why does Theo want that jewel, and what will Riley have to do to get it?

I wake up wrapped in his scent, with his arms around me. The warm scent mingles with the steady beat of his chest, rising and falling in a slow rhythm. 


Theo wraps his arms around me and presses me against his chest. At some point in the night, I remember, we fell surrendered against each other. The kisses didn't lead to more, but for me it was enough to keep the man sleeping next to me in my mind all night long.


What wakes me up however is the constant ringing of the phone, which keeps beeping from the small table next to the bed, demanding my full attention.


I let out an annoyed grunt and roll over in bed. I separate from Theo as I pick up the phone and answer it without even looking at the number.


“What happened to the girl's sexy voice from last night?” asks the laughing voice of a man on the other end of the line, between chuckles.
