Chapter 36: Heartbeat

Riley’s POV

Theo's hands run down my body, his arms trap me in a prison from which I don't want to escape. I feel his tongue run over my lips and skin. I breathe in slowly and my hands grip his shirt tightly. There is something different about this kiss. It seems to have to do with the way his desire is mingling with mine.

Theo lets his mouth run down to my chin. He bites it gently. I hold back a sigh. His tongue comes up, finds my mouth, but doesn't slip into it... His forehead rests against mine. He opens his eyes and lets them lock on mine.

His thumb goes up, caressing my lower lip with delicate pressure. His eyes glow like green fire. He has a burning gaze, full of desire that pierces me with ease.

“Are you going to be upset if we leave all this talk about Cameron's goodness for later?“ he purrs. His lips are so close, I feel the brush between his words. His closeness makes my skin crawl. I shake my head.

“No,” I say softly.

“Good,” he answers.
