Chapter 70: Amullette's Day Out

When I woke, Ty was ready with a change of clothes for me. I left a holo-tech message for my parents, with the com-link address to Ty’s house. We left on foot, laughing as she told me about the young man visiting from Mars. I looked around for the guards that I knew would be following us but, true to protocol, I could not see them.

“I met him at the square,” she said excited. “Actually, I was pushing packages to my house and he thought that I could use some help.”

“He has to be gorgeous, Ty,” I said.

She was a beautiful girl, with long black hair and dark eyes and fair skin touched lightly by our sun. She was slightly taller than I was and lean with a wonderful figure.

“Yes,” she breathed. “He is taller than me. He is very strong. His voice is so deep...” She closed her eyes dreamily as she thought of him.

“So, you two are going to the Ball together?”

“Yes and I am going crazy over where I am going to find the right dress.”
