Chapter 92: ROS Falcon

Hours seemed to pass before the door opened and a large body stood in the doorway. We all turned to see a dark figure approach and I sucked in a deep breath as the impact of his gaze hit me without warning. The eyes were still too familiar and unforgettable; the most beautiful hue of golden light reaching out to me from across the span of nearly five years.

Devestion had aged dramatically in that time. He was almost three times the size of how I remembered him, reminding me of my father. I bit down hard on my lip to keep from screaming as he advanced towards us. I pulled Kalon from his seat and stood pulling him behind me. Mack stood as well putting himself between Devestion and us.

“There is no need for alarm.” His voice was deep and gruff. As he came closer, I noticed a long jagged scar across his throat. I took in another deep breath and let it out slowly to keep from breathing too shallowly and passing out.

“We will not hurt you so long as you cooperate.”
