Just by mistake

The Inspector entered the scene with noise very alarming.Then ordered men to arrest the hoodlums.

Police: Your hands in the air, or i shoot anyone that fails to obey the order.

Some hoodlums were arrested, while some escaped when they got info that the police has arrived.

The police arrested the unconscious Mr Nwosu, and took him for interrogation.Alice died while escaping.Seems like Mary's words came to pass.The fact that "No body knows tomorrow ". Nemesis got up with her, and that was unfortunately, her end .While Uju jumped the building, and was badly injured.

Mr Daniel had earlier been watching the news, when he saw his daughter and a bunch of police men asking her questions.

Mr Daniel: Woman, come out here and see your daughter on the news oooh.Who knows the atrocities that she have committed.

Mary's mom hurriedly rushed to see.

Mary's mom: What has she done ooh?( in a curious tune, and her heart beginning to skip).

Mr Daniel: I always knew that you will mislead this girl one way or the other.Your constant pampering and petting, has led to her doom and destruction. ( gets interrupted by Mary's Mom)..

Mary's mom: Daniel stop it, just stop it.I know i made a mistake, but what effort have you made to retify it.I have been trying my possible best to see how I'll get our daughter back home safely. But instead, all i could hear from you was blame, insult and criticism.Am so tired of your ignorance and sourpuss speaking.Lets just go there and find out what happened.

They quickly rush to the police station .

Arriving there, they see Mary.Mr Daniel slaps her hard, while her mother hugs her.

Mary: Mom, dad.(Crying ).

Mr Daniel: Don't call us, cause if we were important to you, you wouldn't have switched off your phone.

Mary's mom: Mary, what was the need to keep us worried like that.I mean, that's why you have a set right.

Mary : I know but the situation there was fierce.

The inspector quickly chips into their conversation.

Inspector: Your Daughter is a very brave girl.It takes courage to do what she did, considering the situation that was at hand.

Mary's mom: What did she do?

Police: ( Begins to narrate all what that happened).

Mr Daniel: All this happened because her so called mother allowed her to attend " A party"( He said mimicking her).

Mary's Mom: All men have the habit of blaming women.Right from the time of Adam an Eve.When Eve gave Adam the apple, he knew he wasn't supposed to eat it, because it was forbidden.But still ate.But when God came as usual, to check up on them, he said " the woman whom you gave to me, gave me to eat .They always think women are the cause of everything.

Mr Daniel: ( Interrupts her ) You've forgotten this is a station, and not our house).

Mary's mom: Am fed up with your blame, critism and continuous taunts.

Inspector: Hold your horses you two.( He says using his baton to separate the both of them, seeing that a fight was about to commence.

Mary: Mom, dad, please quit all this.

Mr Daniel: Don't forget you are the reason all this happened. ( He said with rage, which was quite visible in his voice ).

Inspector: It wasn't completely her fault.According to her statement, she was accompanied by two of her friends.In which one, introduced her to Mr Nwosu.Saying that he invited them for a get together party.It was in the awful and dramatic incident, that she informed us.She also said they were given orders by a man in which they reffered to as "The Boss".

If i we're in your shoes, I'll recommend her, rather than reprimand her.Cause, she did a heroic act, and made our work much easier.

Mary's Mom: I have always known.....she had it in her(Rubbing her head ). I have never been more proud.

Mr Daniel: Where are her so called friends?( He says in a sarcastic tune).

Police: That's a good question.Well,Mr Nwosu has been admitted to the hospital, while Alice died while trying to escape.

Mary: What about Uju?

Police: Am afraid her condition, is quite critical.She jumped a building and broke her back and legs.( then he paused).... there's a slight chance she may not make it.

Mr Daniel: That's what a child get when they ingore the teachings of their elders.This new generation is so obsessed with parties, fun....

Mary's Mom:(Chips in ) Cant you be considerate for once Daniel.You always talk out of proportion.For goodness sake, someone's life is in danger, and your here questioning her teachings and upbringing.Well, i couldn't expect less, from someone like you.A self centered and an egotistic, inconsiderate, devious man like you ( She says issing).

Inspector: We need them alive for their statement; and to give us info about their leader " The boss".

Mary's Mom thanks the police for all their help and assistances. then takes her daughter home.Mr Daniel follows them behind.
