The CAAM Analysis

The pain that racked his entire body as he slammed down against the ground was resounding.

It threatened to block out his consciousness, shooting out a spray of sparks in his vision. His eyes glistened with the pain of the attack, his body becoming numb almost instantly.

His heart exploded instantly. It had been in a constant state of rapid beats but this one was powerful. He felt as though his heart would pop right out of his chest.

But then, a foot stomped mercilessly into his chest, slamming back the heart within his ribcage, his body buckling under the strain of it.

Abbey coughed out, his body leaping from the ground as his arms and legs fired up, while under the strain of the foot.

It was unusual, the zombies, the infected that he had seen so far would go for the kill. Would try to bite, do whatever they could to slow you down just to get a bite out of your skin.

But this one was not doing the same thing. It defied the logic of everything that he had already known. His heart arched with reason why this was possible. His mind mad with no solution to the present circumstances.

He wished for a split second that Ben Was here. Ben would have a way to figure out something like this. Even though it would mean that he will apply his anime knowledge into it. As far as it worked, as far as he knew what to do, then he, Abbey, always forgave it.

However now, there was nothing that he could do. Ben had turned and he was holding onto his memory with the last ounce of his consciousness. He would do him a great disservice but the what could he do?

Tears streamed out of his eyes, his vision misty and blurry. He saw the bouncer figure slam his great biceps against his white Tshirt and then stomp its feet against the ground.

It was perplexing.

Why would a zombie do something like this?

"Aghhh!" Abbey's time to reason was drastically cut short now.

The bouncer charged, his hands by the side of him. Instantly, his heavy body leapt off the grinned the two feet high up in the high for someone to ordinarily do. His arms bulged with maddening strength as he lowered down, gravity helping his descent.

Then it dawned on him.

The bouncer was going to smash.

Right Through his chest.

"Helpppp…" Abbey screeched out like a girl who had seen a horror movie.

Immediately he did that, the screen of blue popped into visibility before his eyes. Time seemed to slow down for a split second as the words hurriedly pasted themselves on the screen.

DING!

[Due to emotional state of host, System is activating Combat Aided Assault Mode CAAM. To assist host survive the present ordeal.]

DING!

[Combat aided assault mode would not function like the auto pilot mode. In CAAM, the host would get guidance from the system on what to do and how to react proactively. Thus using this buff to turn the tide of the battle. System would be the Host's eyes and senses in the battle while leaving all the decisions to be taken by the Host.

Danger: This skill would only…]

"Activate!" Abbey screamed out as he shut off the warning from the screen.

He would worry about that. When he was alive. Not when he was right about to be damaged through his chest.

Instantly, his sheds fired out a for fleeting moment. He saw the feet of the bouncer now at his chest, only a few inches from hitting in. His heart fluttered in excited state as his eyes bulged out. He could feel the maddening rush off power form his [Testosterone Rush] and the residual boss mode form the autopilot kicking into gear.

With the proficiency of a kick boxer, he jerked his back legs up, kicking his entire body in Chines get up style just as he was told by the system.

SMASH!

"Rawggh!" Came the frustrated growl of the zombie as he turned around, angry that his prey had evaded him.

It swerved an arm for abbey. But right at that same moment, Abbey saw an instruction. On the screen.

DING!

[DUCK!]

And he did.

The waft of air passed over his head as the arm swung by. His eyes dilating, as he watched the scene for another instruction.

[Swing your body around!]

He did that, smashing his right elbow backward as he slammed down against the feet of the zombie.

The infected gave a cry of pain, arching his back now that Abbey smashed into him. It promptly brought down his other hand to slam down against his head.

But Abbey was aware.

He rolled out of the range. Got up, then pushed himself against the reluctance of his limbs and the fatigue threatening to shut him down.

Abbey lunged forward, hands making an X over his head as he slammed to the body of the Infected.

Or attempted to slam through.

Except that then, his head was held in place by the zombie, a menacing look on its face.

"Fuck!"

[Yup! You are fucked!]

"Are you kidding me?" He growled out against the grip of the zombie and the sarcasm from the system.

[System did not recommend for you to spear dive. You ignored systems instructions for that!]

"Rawgghhh!!! Raghu…" The zombie muttered out, it's eyes dilating as he flexed its head.

"Dont!" The girl cried out.

"Oh fuck! What should I do?" Abbey asked mentally.

[CAAM processing next step of action… Analayzing current situation…. Please wait…]

Ding!

[Attacker is not a normal person.]

'Yeah, tell me what I don't know.' Abbey cursed out in anger, mentally while struggling to break free of the grip.

[System analysis: Epidemic state of the attacker features a feared mythical apocalyptic creature commonly reffered to as Zombie.]

'Really? Like I don't know what a zombie is..'

[To combat a zombie, one has to make sure that you hit the head. The zombie grappling your head only goes to prove one thing.]

At this word, Abbey was curious even as he continued to struggle and push.

'What is it?'

[This zombie also thinks you to be a zombie. you are infected, as far as it's concerned. It believes you to be a stain and should be purged by smashing your head. The way zombies die.]

'WHat the fuck?'
