The First Mutated Infected

The moment he stepped out IN front of the zombies, he knew he did not have any more time.

When he got the system, he had hoped that he would have time more to understand the working of it. You know what made it click here and there and what exactly about it made it possible to suruvive this apocalypse.

It was the master work of someone out there. It had to be. The work of a genius, one of which he had been studying.

Until this kids had burst into the store.

Now it was up to him to protect them. After all, it was his radio that had brought the attention of the infected to them. It was only logical that he was at the forefront of it.

Yet, as he threw punches, backed into the corner, it was only a matter of time for his punches to grow weary. Unlike the boy, he would not act stupidly,

Testosterone Rush?

Like he did not know the gonseqnvwss of using that when he did not have the urge to control himself. He sighed, ducking and punching.

Annoyingly, they had not left yet. Looking at him? He saw the concern in their eyes. At least, in the eyes of the girl. The boy, he just saw weariness.

"Get out! Get out! Get out of here." he thundered now, urging them to move. "I can't hold many of them and you know that. Go live your lives, j have lived mine to the fill." He added now.

Just as he did that, motion in their bodies roared to life. It was good.

The girl muttered something but he did not listen. Not when he had to take care of this situation himself,

He was a system holder and even so, he did not have many options. Now that a horde was practically backing him into a corner, it was only right for him to focus on them.

To use the trump card that the system had for him. The trump card he had discovered while he had patiently studied the workings of the system. If only that boy would also do that same thing as he did. He sighed, focusing his attention on the scene before his eyes.

"System! Merge all skills!"

[Merging skills to generate random overkill skill… processing…]

While he waited, instinctively, he acted. He punched here and there. While waiting for the overkill skill that he would get.

It was sure to be random but it would be better than having it use the autopilot mode of the system or any of those other beginner skills.

To merge all the beginner skips, he would simply skip out the side effects of using them. This would mean that even though he would have some side effect on the higher level skill, it would not be the basic nonsense. The type that had turned the boy into a raging maniac of sorts.

It would be the style that he would be Abel to manage.

[DING]

[Organic Synthesized Mould]

[Skill Description: Mould organic flesh of the Infected into a mobile armor capable of strength, durability and the ability to tank assailant weapons.]

[Side effect: Using this skill on the infects for too long a time may cause where Instigator Type Infected are may cause psychic overload of the Host brain. Host would be mutated into a zombie]

Sheesh!

[do you wish to proceed? Or find another random overkill skill?]

The man could click his tongue.

In the time where he had spent studying the system and the infected around, he found that the zombies had started to evolve.

Well, not exactly evolve in the first place. These ones were not the usual ones that you would watch in television series. The zombies in this place had unique traits, one of which was the presence of the instigator types.

Instigator types are zombies who had some levels of influence in their past lives. When they had been infected. Think of people with overly confident auras, force men and the likes.

These ones with that sort of affluence when turned to zombies usually ended up using that same aura in their infected paths. That meant that they could also instigate the zombies into a frenzy, causing them to act in ways that they ought not to act.

Like how the huge infected made all the zombies stay at the door while he battled the young boy.

The old man narrowed his eyes. There was not the time for another skill search. He would take what he had and hope that they had the time to get out of there before any of the instigator types Zombies began to infect his mind.

He was furious though. How it was possible that some zombies had psychic ability puzzled him but he would not dwell on that.

He activated the skill, just as Abbey rushed back to hurl the girl over his shoulders. In no time, the radio buzzed out with static, talking about some location as zombies began to magnetize too his body.

In a surge of strength he smashed down all the remaining zombies that did not join to his body. To his now enlarged body made of numerous parts of zombies. Arms and legs, bodies here and there made up for the extra matter on his arms, chest, legs until his entire body was covered in a brief second, turning him into a heavy mass of 10feet.

A Herculean monster.

"Here, boy! My key! Find my car and survive." He cried out as he threw the keys into the waiting hands of Abbey.

Then, the trouble began.

Pain racked into his head. Dizzying sensation exploding here and there as he staggered, some mass of the zombie body scattering to the ground.

"Gooo… survive… create fortresses for humanity to live. Gooo…" He cried out desperately as some of the fallen zombies rose again to start clawing at his body armor.

The more they clawed, the more the splitting headaches. The more the thousand growled exploding in his ears. He could not bear it. It was sickening. Bile rose to his throat in an instant as his body screamed out in pain, every inch of him burning up instantly.

[DING! Host is in danger of physic infection. Disengage Skill]

[Warning… Disengage… Warning… Disengage..,]

He tried to disengage the skill now but he could not. Not after seeing the horde rushing out for the store. While the boy and the girl were moving towards it.

"They can't make it." He cried out.

He had to go out there. Yo help them.

"Rawwwwgghhgg!" The man roared out.

His body exploded in inhumane speed as he tailed the back of the boy. With his longer arms as legs, he kicked, slammed, creating a path for the boy to run through while the rest of the zombies turned to him. As their focus.

And the more they attacked, the more he growled out, his consciousness fading away from his body.

[DING… Failure to Unbind… End Time Apocalypse System Schematics Failure… Host is 100% Infected.]

"RAWWWWWWWGGGGGHHGH…" The hulking figure of several infected bodies roared out, slamming its fist against the chest. It stretched a fist.

The air whistled as his arm flashed down for the figure of the big in front of him. But just as the fist neared on, Abbey threw his body forward. Himself and the girl crashing down even as the hulk's fist crashed heavily into the ground, shattering the tiled floor in one smash.
