Dressing Him Up

Amayah entered the closet next.

Just as she entered, she gaped in astonishment, looking around. The closet was not too big, but it was big enough for Amayah, who had only seen these types of walk-in closets in TV shows and movies. She was still taking out clothes from her suitcase as needed. The closet had everything a man could ever need in his lifetime, from different types of clothes, shoes, watches, perfumes, etc. And everything was so perfectly in place that there were different sections for everything. She wondered how Nolan, not being able to see, could keep everything so tidy.

But there was one weird thing she noticed: most of his clothes were formal-styled, like suits and shirts, and they were all in either black, white, or gray color.

What was this man's obsession with dark and lifeless colors? Did other colors cease to exist in his color pallet?

She chose for him a white shirt, black formal pants, a leather belt, and a watch. Even though Nolan was blind and didn't step out of the room, he liked to stay all clean and polished.

She walked out and laid his outfit for the day on the bed and patiently waited for him to come out of the bathroom while browsing on her phone.

After some time, the lock clicked, and out came Nolan.

Amayah put her phone away when she heard the lock click. She stood up from the couch and turned towards him.

She blushed instantly. Nolan only had a bath towel wrapped around his waist and he was just standing there. Even though he hadn't been out of the room, his body was drool-worthy with that fair skin and toned abs.

Amayah blinked, looked away, and shook her head to get rid of those inappropriate thoughts, and walked up to help him.

She silently took his hand and guided him to the bed. They stopped right at the foot of the bed.

"Your clothes are laid out on the bed in front of you. I'll wait outside the room. I'll be back in five minutes." Amayah left the room, considerately closing the door for him.

After five minutes…

She knocked and entered the room.

Nolan had only put on his pants. He was still half naked.

'Why did he not put on his shirt? What was he doing for five whole minutes in here?' Amayah thought but didn't dare to say it out loud.

If Nolan had heard her words, he would've surely retorted back, saying how was a blind man supposed to button up his shirt?

With rosy cheeks, she walked up to him and heard him say, "Help me put on the shirt."

Even though she'd helped him take off his shirt once, she was still not used to getting so close to a half-naked man's body.

She took the shirt from the bed and went behind him to help him wear it. After that, she came to the front and buttoned up neatly one by one.

Nolan was not in a groggy mood today. Seeing how she helped him, he felt alleviated. After his accident, no one dared come close to him in fear of his bad temper. He always had to do everything by himself, including wearing clothes. For a long time, what he struggled most with was buttoning up his shirt. It would always be messed up and out of order, and each time he had to unbutton all the buttons and start again. It was difficult for him to tell where he messed up since he wasn't able to see.

They were so close that Nolan could smell her perfume. He couldn't help but wonder, 'Why would she still wear such cheap perfume when her financial expenses were all taken care of by the Emerson family? She could buy whatever she liked. Didn't young girls like her like to spend on luxury items? Didn't she marry him for the money?'

After she was done buttoning his shirt, she went to the dressing table and came back with a comb in her hand.

"Let me help you with your hair."

He didn't protest and obediently sat on the edge of the bed. She took the comb and started combing his jade black hair.

His hair was so soft and silky that she felt jealous of it. Even though her hair was good too, it was not as nice as his. How could a man have such smooth hair?

Lastly, she put on his watch and left for work hurriedly.

It was another usual day at the bakery for Amayah.

After she got off work, she went to a grocery store to buy groceries for tonight's dinner.

Though she was sure that they would have everything she needed in the main kitchen at the Rosewood Mansion, she didn't know if the servants would be compliant with her. She didn't want to cause any petty squabbles. If she could do it on her own, she would not ask for help from others.

Remembering that the man must have been hungry all day, she hurriedly purchased all the ingredients she would require and left the grocery store, going straight to the metro to head to the mansion.
