Chapter 100: Day one IV

When Serena arrived at the dining room, Charlton was not yet there. From the way the table was arranged she could easily tell that it was only the two of them dining. She took her seat on one end of the table.

As she was seated, she took on observing the décor of the room. Like the rest of the mansion, it was very extravagant but even so, it was not garish. Did Charlton seriously think of every single detail in this mansion? The more she sees, the more she was convinced.

Not long after, the door of the dining room was opened, and in came Charlton who was looking so fresh. He was donning a more casual wear with his long-sleeved shirt having the top two buttons undone. His hair was parted at the side, brushed back, and still slightly damp. She does not know if she was just imagining it, but even from their distance, she could already smell his scent of pine and sandalwood. Then, he turned to face her direction, and his eyes curved slightly as his dimple deepened.
