"Run." Richen muttered as he saw Gargo's body start bulging and growing. "FUCKING RUUUN!!!"
BOOM!!
A giant pillar of earth slammed into Richen's broken shield. Phina looked to him in horror, she was still processing Mayo's death. Spear showed no mercy as he grabbed Phina's arm, pulling her away from the trajectory of another earth spike. "Shira!! MOVE!!"
Phina grit her teeth and whispered. "Spear, let's pretend he's the Royal. I can hold him back, just give me one of your swords."
Spear's eyes widened with surprise. He glared at Phina with frustration. 'Couldn't you have said this before Mayo died?!'
"..." Spear was deep in thought. He then threw one of his longswords to Phina who grabbed it with her right hand. "You're lucky I only need one sword to use this Skill!"
Phina took a deep breath. She hadn't used a longsword ever since Kara had given her one back when they were returning from the forest. She sheathed her dagger then switched the sword from her right to her left hand. She felt her head go light as she started to have a Life Flash, but this time, it didn't start with the usual bloodbath.
"Don't hesitate to go for the kill." a giant red snake spoke to Phina. "Ragnar's people are pretty aggressive. If you don't defend yourself, you will die a pitiful death."
"I've got this! My friend trained me pretty well." Phina smirked. "You should focus on how to beat Ephilium, Shira."
"Killing one of your own is always the worst part of it." Shira sighed. "Don't casually kill, Sera. Life is precious...it took me too long to realize that."
Phina's vision blurred as she was surrounded by an entire army.
"It's Ender's daughter!! Get her!!!" a muscular man with a giant sword in his hands yelled.
Roars of excitement and resentment echoed throughout the valley she and Shira were in.
"Look sharp, Sera!!" Shira said as she rushed at the army.
"You're mine!!!" a skinny man jumped at Sera with a saber in his hands. Phina screeched as put her sword up.
Stab.
The sword went into the amateur fighter's stomach.
Thud.
He quickly fell to the ground, dead.
'....' Phina blankly stared at the corpse, the Law of Killing slowly gathered at her position as she smiled and muttered. "It feels so good."
She calmed herself as the Law of Calm gathered around her. "I need to get this over with. My first World awaits me."
'I need to be faster.' Phina thought as she slowly became more precise, the Law of Efficiency gathering around the young Phina.
"She's Synchronizing with 3 different Laws?! What the fuck kind of bullshit is this?!?" Ragnar, the commander of this small army, cursed in panic. Perfect Synchronization was a once in a lifetime thing. To think that their enemy just had three different Synchronizations at once was insane. "Retreat!!!"
"Not so fast." Phina said lightly as she ran through the army. Bodies fell everywhere she walked through. She didn't stop there either. After killing the entire army with Shira, she proceeded to continue into the city just outside of the valley. She entered and started killing everyone in there. Her smile indicated the ecstasy she was feeling. "Killing feels so right!!"
The 3 Laws slowly started dispersing as she stood over the mountain of dead bodies at her feet.
"I see..." Phina said with absolutely no emotion. "I thought it was because of me going crazy, but I guess it was the Law of Killing. Well...it doesn't matter."
She turned to Gargo with zero thoughts about running away.
BOOM!!
The ground shattered at her feet as she rushed at the enraged Lord.
Attack Mode!
"DIE!!" Gargo yelled as he attacked Phina with 30 different earth spikes.
Phina squinted her eyes as she felt her body move on its own. The Law of Efficiency was doing its job. She got an instinctive feeling of where to go to avoid being hit. She swiftly dodged all spikes without stopping her advance.
"Looks like she really got this." Spear muttered. He took a deep breath as he raised his sword up high. Unlike normal Skills where the user would expend their World and Life Energy to execute, he started absorbing the World's World Energy at a frightening rate.
"You think I'm going to stay here a let you ch-"
Flashing Steps!!
Phina appeared behind Gargo, stabbing her sword into him.
Holy Devastation!!
"SHIT!! NOT AGAIN!!" Gargo felt over half his Life Energy leave his body. He quickly switched his attention to Phina. "Guess I'll kill you first!"
"So it was because his Life Energy is the Element of Earth?" Phina's currently Synchronized Law of Calm did its work. She just exhausted a little over 12% of her World Energy reserves with that Flashing Steps and Holy Devastation combo. She then turned to Spear. "How long?"
"Two minutes." Spear glared at the Lord with Killing Intent in his eyes. His hair fluttered with the vortex of World Energy gathering around his sword.
"You got it." Phina rushed the Lord once more. She perfectly dodged every attack Gargo threw at her, yet she also couldn't get a hit in. She even tried her Flashing Steps and Holy Devastation combo again, yet Gargo was ready for it. She lost around 26% of her World Energy so far.
"This isn't working." Phina muttered. She swiped the longsword in her hand as her figure started to blur, then turn invisible.
Mirage Illusion!
She was using an advanced version of her Intermediate-rank Skill, Mirage Illusion!
"I can just sense your Life Energy, you dumbass!" Gargo laughed madly. This fight had cost him his three siblings, and was putting his life in grave danger, yet this mere Human was dancing around him like a little fly.
Just as he was laughing, Phina's Life Energy disappeared as well, making her completely undetectable.
Hidden Movements!
It was one of the Founder-rank Skills that General Ram Walter had given her!
'What the hell?!' Gargo looked around himself in a panic. 'Where is she?!'
He quickly sensed something above him. It was Phina's Life Energy! He looked up to see Phina falling from the sky. He smirked madly. "You cancelled it too early! Your timing was off!!"
Phina emotionlessly fell, readying a strike. Suddenly, Gargo slipped with half his legs.
Slippery World.
"SHIT!!" Gargo cursed in fear.
"KILL IT!!" Richen yelled as he threw his broken shield at the Lord's other set of legs.
Muddy Haven!
Gargo dropped into the ground, leaving only his upper body and metasoma. "Time to end this!!"
"Shira! Get back!!" Spear yelled as he got ready to unleash his Skill.
"Not yet." Phina said calmly. If not for the Law of Calm, she'd be shitting bricks at this point.
"DIE!!!" Gargo seemed to age a little as enormous amounts of World and Life Energy concentrated into his stinger. "HAVE A TASTE OF MY ULTIMATE SKILL!!!"
Gaia's Venom!
"DODGE!!" Spear yelled with panic. He couldn't release his Skill with Phina there.
The stinger moved with pinpoint accuracy as it rushed to Phina's forehead. Phina merely smirked as she was falling from the sky. She spoke with a hint of mockery in her voice. "How do you think I got up here?"
Her body abruptly stopped falling, causing the stinger to barely miss. When the stinger reached where Phina was supposed to fall, a large amount of venom filled with Dark World Energy was released from it.
Flight.
While the Intermediate-rank Skill, Flight, used up a ton of World Energy at her level, it was perfect bait for aerial battles. She had used it to get up and to stop her fall, which made her World Energy reserves fall to 43%. She used Flashing Steps to teleport behind Spear. "Kill it."
Bow before the Lord!
Neither Phina nor Gargo could move as a pressure descended on the Lord. All of the World Energy Spear gathered was focused in the tip of his blade. He slashed forward, creating a sonic boom as the slash's light broke through the sound barrier. Gargo looked at the slash as his life flashed before his eyes. 'I'm going to die like this, huh? Well...at least Malik will avenge us.'
Spear glared at Gargo as his blade broke.
World's Order!!
BOOOOM!!!!
The slash created a large 10 meter deep groove in the ground!
Thud.
Thud.
Gargo's two halves hit the ground as the slash bisected him vertically.
"Holy shit..." Richen muttered. After taking a few deep breaths, he sighed with regret. "I'll need to do something about Lonely Strife Town now that Mayo is dead."
"You alright?" Spear looked at the exhausted Phina as he threw the hilt of his broken sword.
"Just used a ton of World Energy, I'll be alright in a second." Phina spoke coldly. She then handed the longsword back to Spear, her expression softening. She then looked at Richen who was picking up Mayo's equipment.
Hup.
Phina felt her stomach rise.
Bleeeuuuurgggghhh.
She emptied her stomach's contents. She then remembered the slaughter from her Life Flash, causing tears to appear in her eyes. "I'm a monster..."
"Get up." Spear said softly. "My grandpa used to say one thing to me whenever he took me out training. Life is full of monsters. If you can't force yourself to become a monster when needed, then you're too naïve to exist."
Phina looked up at him, her mask slightly off from her vomiting. He fixed up her mask. Spear felt a little nostalgia as he looked at Phina. When he had his first kill, he couldn't see any living thing without emptying his stomach for a month. He did think that Phina was a little too soft, but it was understandable.
"My name is Pida Kano." Spear smiled kindly. "Let's start with that, then we can go have a drink and talk about it."
