As the other groups prepared for battle, one group was in for a rude awakening.
"NNNOOOOO!" A deafening cry of disappointment echoed in the almost empty church. The anguish in the voice was raw, primal, shaking the very air within the sacred walls.
This startled the few worshipers who were praying to their Maker were startled. They turned their heads to look at this heathen who dared to desecrate the holy and pious church atmosphere. This was a sanctuary, a place of worship and divine communion. Who dared to shatter its sanctity with such a display of despair?
They saw a group of people, twelve in number - adorned in striking dark blue robes, hoods drawn over their heads, and cloaks elegantly fastened with silver pins. This group was the twelve 'lucky' Watchers selected by Apollo to accompany the Knight Templar treasure consignment.
What was the cause of this disappointment?
