"Selene!" Darren said as soon as he turned around recognizing her as if her image has been engraved into his mind. 

"I curse you, Darren." She said and looked at the pile of dead bodies lying all over the place. 

"For what you have done you will relive your worse moment in your slumber, Darren. Until you find your mate, your slumber shall never be peaceful." 

"Even when you find her, you will know no peace. This is your curse for what you have done." 

The moon goddess said as she started fading into the night. "Remember this Darren."

Looking behind her, Dana found the woman who had come to attack her pack with the vampire captain not so long ago and anger boiled within her. She wanted to tear her apart, but the sight of her mate weakening held her back.

She had to find a way to help him. To find a way to touch him and let the magic of the mate bond which they shared do its work. She growled and bared her fangs at the woman not forgetting what they had done to her in the past where she almost lost her baby had Koraago not been there.

"I just came to talk." The woman said but Dana growled even louder at her and started stalking her. "Would you listen if I let him go?" She asked with a finger pointed at Lazarus.

Dana glanced behind her to see her mate and then back at the witch. She sat on her hind legs and looked at the woman so she would know that she agreed to her terms. It was just to talk and nothing more, then she could listen to her as long as her mate was alright.
