Not alone

"I'm really unlucky to be trapped here! How did I go back?" I asked the blue-tailed merman. He raised his body to the edge of the lake because he wanted to listen to my remarks, leaving a little of his tail still submerged in the water.

"Where go back?" He asked.

"Of course it's back to my world! If I can be stranded here there must be my way back, right?"

"Why back for? Breathworld is your land and you are our Queen. You may have grown up in another world but you were born here, my Queen. Your destiny here!"

I glared disapprovingly. Seriously! How about mom? My lecture? And my friends? Can't I give up my normal life to live in a land where mythological creatures live?

"I still haven't accepted that this isn't a dream?"

"You must accept your destiny, my Queen. After all, the Queen is the hope of all the people."

I smiled sadly. me? A Queen? What kind of queen falls into a lake and is only greeted by a merman?

"Then if I am the Queen, where is the palace?"

The merman pointed towards the mountain far across the lake, "behind that mountain," he said.

"The palace is over there?"

"No, my Queen. Behind the mountain is another mountain, precisely in the spring part of the land of Breathworld."

I quipped, "ah, so there's the palace?"

"Not my Queen."

I glared at the merman. He's playing tricks on me or something?

"So where exactly is the palace?"

"In the midst of the breathworld land, the Queen. The palace is currently guarded by the commander-in-chief Albern--"

"Then what are you pointing towards that mountain! It's like the palace there."

The merman lowered his head apologizing to me. Ah, so polite.

"I mean your majesty should go to the spring part of Breathworld. That's where the people who are loyal to you are."

The merman looked still wanting to explain things but I held him back from talking when suddenly the pendant mom gave me glowed red. Instantly I immediately remembered mom's message.

"My mother said I should hide if this necklace glows, it means that there is a dark force around me" I explained to the merman with a worried face. The sound of horse screeching sounded, the merman immediately told me to stand up and run.

"Quick run Queen! Take care of yourself and hide your identity to anyone!"

"What? Where should I run?" I asked like a fool.

"Run now my Queen! I'll hold them back."

I was instantly quickly smitten. I ran away even though my brain demanded an explanation. Suddenly I was indecisive and finally I came back again and asked,

"I have go to the spring state, right? On foot? I don't know the way there!" I shouted as I moved randomly in panic.

"Please just run, my Queen! All the contents of the land must be looking for you because seeing the blue lunar eclipse has already happened!"

"Why should I run if I'm looking for it?"

"Just ask next time! Run quickly and don't get caught,"

The merman's expression was so afraid that something bad would happen to me, making me panic even though I don't know the reason. I ran to obey the merman's request, but it wasn't until a few steps away that I came back again because I was too curious.

"Don't get caught by whom?" I asked. The merman showed an expression like he wanted to swear at me. It must be that he didn't expect that this person he called the Queen was so annoying.

"From the black army as well as the rest of Allora's supporters! Don't worry, Queen. Albern and your loyal people must be looking for you too."

"Can't My Queen think while running? Don't let the black army rush over!"

"you say that I'm a Queen but what kind of Queen is told to run like this!" I grumbled as I hurriedly ran towards the forest.

I ran quickly without looking back. Deeper into the forest without stopping for a minute. Dark. I couldn't see anything because the blue moonlight had faded.

The sound of the night animals makes the atmosphere spooky. It was my first time in the woods at night and without a friend.

"Looks like this place really is a jungle," I said as I groped the trees, which were almost all jumbo-sized.

My ears caught the sound of something flying overhead. I didn't know what it was because of the darkness so I tried to hide behind the trees and bushes.

I peeked. There were two pairs of red eyes that were on a tree branch not far from me. Is it the devil or what?

My necklace glowed for a moment, indicating that the red eye was evil. I winced when I knew I wasn't safe right now.

"Find her! Don't let us go first!"

I peeked back when I heard the voice. From the other direction there were several people riding horses with the light from something like a flying lantern. They finally came face to face with the bloodshot eyes that descended from the tree branch.

"You won't find it!"

Because there was light from the flying lantern there I could see the red-eyed figure with fangs and a bat-like head. The two scary figures then fight with the group with the flying lantern. The more my guts shrink, they fight over me, so what will happen if they find out I'm here?

"Aish! My fate is really unlucky!" I muttered under my breath and while they were attacking each other I chose to run away from there slowly.

After feeling far enough I immediately ran fast in the dark. No matter the bushes or thorns, I still run around, my body feels crushed and has been injured here and there. Several times I also hit a tree and made my head throb and bleed.

I didn't care, I had to get away from everyone who was chasing me. I don't know who's the enemy and who's on my side, so I can't trust anyone.

I've been running around aimlessly for hours. My body is tired and has no energy anymore and now I can only walk with a limp.

"Moms." quietly holding back tears. There must be something wrong with my destiny, I'm just an ordinary weak girl, how can I be the chosen queen?!

I finally fell. Still half awake and half awake when my necklace glows again. And my ears caught the galloping of the horse's stumbling. Maybe this will be the end of the sad story of the chosen Queen.

"This way, andrew. Hurry up!"

I was trying to stay awake when suddenly someone grabbed my head. And then came a red-haired boy. He immediately wrote a circle around us using a twig while muttering like he was reciting a spell.

"Who are you guys?" I whispered. The sweet short-haired woman who was on my lap stroked my hair gently.

"Don't worry, Your Majesty is not alone. All the people are with you," she said.

"They're approaching! Don't move and don't make a sound!" Said the red-haired boy as he approached our bodies.

The army in black armor stopped right in front of us. I held my breath when I saw the black smoke surrounding the troops like clouds.

They couldn't see us thanks to the circle made by the red-haired boy whose name I didn't know yet.

The black troop didn't make a sound, just gave each other a code and then soon after that they went the other way.

"Andrew, quickly bring the Queen before Allora's followers smell us!"

"Don't order me! I know what to do, Bella!"

"I've seen them in a dream, they cursed people to stone."

Those were the last words I could say before I finally fell unconscious.
