After that, I spent an hour explaining how to use the weapon and its extending feature. I was surprised at how well Gaara started to pick things up when she put her mind to it. A small part of me hoped that this was a change for the better.

"So, how are you feeling now? Got to smash a few dummies up, and you look like you are really starting to get a feel for things. I am actually pretty impressed," I said after we had finished and put the weapons away.

Gaara rolled her shoulder and sighed. "Well, I suppose that it hasn't been a horrible experience. Today wasn't too bad, but still..." She muttered under her breath, and I smiled.

"Cheer up. Now you get to go and eat, and Tomorrow I will let you train like normal with the others," I said, but Gaara narrowed her eyes at me.

"You are supposed to be going hard on me! I should get more than just a few hours!" Gaara demanded, and I sighed.
