DEEP IN THE FOREST

"I want to see it again. This time with bravery." I said to myself. I was so determined to see it again. I wanted to see it's face and the whole body. "Yes. I'll go there. Again."

The next day, I took the little book my mum gave me since I was young. I've read that book for more than a hundred times now, but I still couldn't understand it.

I took the book with me as I dressed in a white gown and set to leave for the forest.

"Mum I'm off...." I said to her as I went  behind the door.

"Okay. Don't stay long." Mum shouted back.

"I won't mum." I said. Raya came running to me.

"What?" I asked in anger. She always ruins my mood.

"Woo woo." She barked, as if telling me she knows what I'm up to.

"It's none of your business. And you mustn't speak." I threatened her.

Raya barked looking up at me, yelling me I should go.

"It's not that I feel like protecting you. It's just I love your mum a lot and won't want her to morn her child." Raya barked at me.

I scoffed hearing the little dog's words. "Leave me."

"Fine the. I tried my best. Go and never come back." Raya barked at me.

I looked at her with daggered eyes and found my way into the forest.

I held my book in my hand as I walked gracefully to the forest, the same place Raya and I ran to when we saw that beast.

It took me long to reach there. I started walking in the direction the beast ran to. I halted when I saw a hut.

It was not a normal hut made by humans. It was a very huge and beautiful one from the outside.

I started walking towards the hut as my heart kept thumping. Something kept telling me to go back buy I still kept moving.

'Gosh! Elena you're so stubborn.' I said to myself as I kept walking towards the hut.

I stopped when I reached the door, contemplating if I should enter or not.

'The beast might be sleeping.' I assured myself as I stepped one foot inside the hut.

It was dark inside. Not even an atom of light. The inside looked tattered and dirty. There was this awful smell it exhibited. I couldn't fathom.

I walked around everywhere in the hut, as I used one hand to cover my nose, checking everything I saw there.

It took me hours to get familiar with the interiors of the hut. I even took time to rearrange the whole house for it and yet, the beast wasn't there. I decided to wait for it, OUTSIDE.

I sat on a tree close to the hut waiting for him. I kept myself busy reading the book I never understood.



I haven't read for long when...thum thum....I started hearing heavy footsteps. I quickly stood up from the tree and hid somewhere and watched as the beast came to sight.

Gosh...it was so fascinated and scary. It was a black, big and hairy thing.....very scary too.



I was too scared to even speak or go close. What if it eats me?

The beast went inside and suddenly came out. It started looking around, searching. As of he knew someone was here, watching.

Oh no! Why did I arrange it's home? I'm such a stupid fool.

My heart starts thumping faster and faster. The beast suddenly started coming closer to where I'm hiding.

'Does it know I'm here?' I asked myself in fear. 'What if it catches me?' I started to remember what Raya told me earlier today.

The beast knew I was there....it knew. It came closer and stood before me. I held my head up in fear. Then.... boom. I started running. With just a swift move, it caught me up and carried me with one hand close to his face.

At first, it was looking at me with anger but suddenly, the emotion changed to shock.

I don't know why I was beginning to like this beast. The golden eyes, beautiful long claws and scary body was somewhat fascinating to me.

"I-im so sorry. It was a mistake." I said with fear in me.

"M-mate. Impossible." The beast said with a hoarse voice that shocked me.

"What!" I asked looking lost.

The beast dropped me on the ground and his face changed back to anger.

"What are you doing here?" It's voice was still hoarse.

"I'm sorry beast. I lost my way and.....and..."

I stopped talking when the beast started sniffing around me.

"W-what are you doing?" I asked not understanding anything.

"Lies. And I'm not a beast."

"What!" I still didn't understand what was going on.

The next scene shocked me. The heavy beast I was just looking at few minutes ago changed into a human.

I rolled my eyes in shock. "W-what j...just happened. Y-you..." I fainted at the shock. These things were too much for my brain to assimilate.

I woke up inside a dark room,my head was banging and aching me seriously. I quickly stood up from the small bed when I remembered the previous event that made me faint.

"You're awake." I heard a beautiful human voice.

Soon, a shadow came closer to me and the view was clear.....it didn't look like him, but it was the same beast I saw yesterday and earlier, now a human. How's that possible???
