"You can read my mind?"

"I'm a werewolf." He said, sitting on the floor.

This person is so surprising. How can leave the bed for the ground.

"What's a werewolf?"

"Gosh! Have your parents not told you any stories when you were Young? I thought that's the story kids like to hear most."

"I've only heard of demons and vampires. Not of werewolves."

"Wow! So heartbreaking. No one even talk about us again. They must really hate us."

"What!..."

He looked at me.....how could this brainless human be his mate. It couldn't be possible.

"Werewolves are animals that's could transform into a human and also a wolf. That's why we're called werewolves. Your teacher must have taught you about lycanthropes in your school right?"

"I-i never went to a school. I'm a forest girl." I said to him.

He rolled his eyes in shock. "What!!!!"

"Yes." I looked at him, also shocked at his Expression.

He screeched his eyebrows with his fingers. They went normal now since he is a human. No fangs or claws. He was like a normal human being. It was still unbelievable.

He noticed I wasn't too worried about going to school. 'Even a werewolf knows how important school is and you.....' He thought to himself.

"My human name is Ray. And my werewolf name is Ramzel." He told me, not looking at me.

"Hmm...I love those names. But, why are you telling me? You should have eaten me right away, the moment you saw me but...instead you are chitchatting with me. I'm sure all werewolves are that mean. You must be nice."

"I'm not nice."

"You are." I said chuckling.

"I said I'm not." He said with a Stern voice that made me scared.

"T-then why are you....."

"Because...." 'Should I tell her? She might not understand.' Ray thought before he spoke. "You are my mate."

I looked at him in shock. I know what mate means. My mum has told me several vampire stories. Mate are two people that are destined to be together. How can I be his mate.

Ray watched me to know my next move. He saw I was shocked.

'He shouldn't have told me. What should I do? If I think anything now, he'll know. He can read my thoughts.' I said to myself.

"Don't. Even think of running." He gave a Stern look.

I needed to assimilate all I've just heard.

"No I'm not running. I'm have to leave. My mum must be waiting for me. I'll come see you some other time." I said and quickly stood up to Leave.

Ray just watched me as I left. He knew I was never coming back. Why did he let me leave when he knew I wasn't coming back? Perhaps also wants me to leave and never come back. What werewolf would want a human as his mate. This is impossible. And I clearly didn't plan my beautiful future ending up with a werewolf. So, this is clearly impossible. God made a mistake.

I ran home quickly, in fear. It was already getting late and the sun was setting really fast. My mum must be worried. My heart felt a ting thinking how worried my mum would be right now. I ran as fast as I could back home.

Suddenly, I stopped. I could hear footsteps, coming my way. He was....chasing me. How could I forget. Just like vampires, they would never let their mates leave their sight. He won't let me go back home. He's keep me captive in his smelly home. I made a mistake coming here.

The steps got closer and closer, nearer and nearer. But I wasn't hearing just one footstep. They were much. Did he call his family to chase me? Oh no! God I can't die like this. At least let me see my mum one last time. Please God.

My pace increased. I was tired but I couldn't stop. I thumbled as I ran and I fell on the floor. Before I could stand up, I was surrounded by werewolves. I scanned through give of them and he was nowhere among them. Who are these ones? I looked shocked.

"Gotcha!" The leader said.

"Aaah...it's been long I tasted human.....blood." Another said.

"Let's devour her." I hear another.

"Don't come closer. My mate will kill you." I was so scared I didn't know where the words were coming from. I don't consider him as my mate so why did I use him to protect myself.

"Hahahaha..... you're a human. Who is your mate?" The leader asked mockingly.

"M-my mate is a werewolf." I said to them, with fear and bravery.

They all laughed out loud again.

"She's wasting our time. Get her." The leader said sternly and the other four started coming closer.

Before I could fathom what was happening, I was in a werewolf's arms. D-did he come? The other werewolves looked in shock.

"Rramzel..... My lucky day." The boss said.

"Why are you guys troubling a mere human. Come face me." Ray,,no Ramzel shouted at them in anger.

He had that golden eyes. How does the colour of his eyes change? When he was a human it was blur and now it's gold.

They started fighting, with me in Ray's hands. I think I prefer calling him Ray to Ramzel.

Ray dropped me on the ground to avoid hurting me. He caught hard to protect me. Soon, I saw fire started burning around us. The forest was on fire. I fainted again looking at the powers Ray displayed. He has superpowers.

I woke up on my bed, with a hard headache. I couldn't remember what happened after I fainted. But since I'm alive and here, it means Ray won. I looked around me, my room. How did he know where I live? Ah..he must have used his sense of scent to trace my home.

My mum entered my room looking worried.

"My dear, you're awake." She said as tears trickled down her cheeks. I felt so sad making her this worried.

"Mum, I'm so sorry. I won't ever leave you again." I said to her as she hugged me.

"You made me so worried. What state did you think I would be in if anything should happen to you?"

"I'm so sorry mum. It won't happen again." I was already in tears. I love my mum so much and I wouldn't want anything to happen to her. I never want to see her cry, especially because of me.

"When I saw you outside the house, looking lifeless I was so scared thinking I've lost you."

My tears increased. I felt so bad putting my mum in this state.

My mum cleaned her tears and looked at me sternly. "From now on, you must take Raya with you anywhere you go. Okay?"

Right now I had to do anything to make up for all these. Even if it means going anywhere with that dog. "Yes mum. I'll never go anywhere without Raya." I assured her.

She hugged me tight and stood up. "Come eat. You must be famished." She said as we went to the kitchen.
