His father doesn't particulary hate him, he was only devastated when he found out that he wouldn't be able to walk again. The Emperor was happy that at last, the two useless people found each other and he wouldn't bother thinking about the Crown Prince's marriage.

Xian was baffled and sprang up from her sit. In Alastair's eyes, she appeared to dislike the idea. In that regard, he stood up and lifted his hand, trying to explain why he said so.

"I-I mean, uhm similar to what you said, it is efficient if we become familiar to what capacity or extent can we balance each other's power…."

His heart was thumping fast, afraid of what her reaction would be. He wasn't expecting that this drastic reaction would make him feel uneasy and uncomfortable.
