Encounter 4

Derrick stood up when he saw the first sun rise, the girl beside him also stood up as well, it seems both of them were waiting for the sunrise and weren't able to sleep, now they both can see each other faces clearly

Although the girl's face was stained by dried blood, it couldn't hide her beautiful features golden hair that got to her shoulders and golden eyes, small cherry lips which was pouting

'This little brat is beautiful, but I am not interested, she screams trouble and am having second thoughts about bringing her back home with me'

Derrick thought, is it really alright for him to bring the girl back home or just abandon her here, Derrick has another problem were is the direction to the Dark's mansion

Meanwhile the girl was also thinking,

'so this moron is quite handsome, the only bad thing about him is his cowardice and he lacks the demeanor of a gentleman, he was screaming like a girl in front of a girl, if not for his talent and quite the handsome face, he would have lost his head, hope Father would agree for me to take him as my personal servant'

The girl was thinking Derrick was a peasant and he would be overjoyed that she requested for him to be her personal servant due to the way Derrick was dressed and at his manner of approach and behavior towards her.

Derrick finally said what has been bugging him since last night but due to the events and atmosphere of last night he couldn't bring himself to ask

"Why was your body so cold last night? you felt like a block of ice to touch, I felt like I was carrying a dead body if not for the breathing and the annoying voice I heard from you"

Derrick asked looking straight into the girl's eyes, the atmosphere became heavy, the girl became quiet and finally said

""You expect me to tell you, I asked you a question about how many attributes you had yesterday you ignored me and now you expect me to answer your question?""

The girl said staring daggers towards Derrick, she was actually fuming after remembering that Derrick actually ignored her last night

Derrick just shrugged and said let's get a move on.

"Anyways I haven't still gotten your name miss Rose of the Earl family"

Derrick said snickering, the girl just glared at him and said

""It's courtesy to provide one's name before asking for some one else's name""

"The name is Derrick Dark and what's yours my lady"

Derrick was just saying with a smile plastered on his face, he was acting childish and never took the girl's words seriously but just found it funny and tried to play along with her.

""My name is Rosetta Holman, pleasure to make your acquaintance""

Rosetta said while raising her dress a bit with a bow, her blue dress was a bit torn and covered in mud!!

Due to the fact that Derrick's clothes were actually black and mostly to blend in, it was in a better shape than Rosetta's dress

"Are you a noble?" Derrick asked while frowning and thinking

'What's a noble doing here, we hardly have visitors in our territory and now a noble almost lost her life here, should I run away?'

'Ahh whatever have already gotten myself into this mess and I need to see it through'

""Didn't I tell you I won't be answering any of your questions, so stop asking""

Rosetta said and walked ahead like she knew the way back

Derrick was actually hoping to see a passerby to ask for directions, that's why he wasn't in a rush

Rosetta stopped and looked at Derrick for a while and asked

""Are you a knight son, a merchant son or a servant that was given his owner's surname?""

Rosetta didn't even think he was a noble but a servant given a nobles name, some one as boorish and stupid like him could not actually be a noble she thought!

"I thought we ain't suppose to ask each other questions, so am not obligated to answer you" Derrick answered a little bit grumpy, so you only see me as a servant, Derrick thought!

""Don't worry, I will unviel all your secrets, is just a matter of time""

Rosetta said proudly with a smile, while puffing out her undeveloped chest

Derrick could care less what she thought, he was getting hungry and didn't have the strength to argue with the self delusional girl

Because she was ignored by Derrick again, she decided to stay quiet and not say anything anymore

Both of them walked in silence for an unknown time before they saw a large group of soldiers coming towards them

Derrick was excited when he saw the person at the forefront of the soldiers

"I am finally going back home, am exhausted"!!!
