CH-29 Fear(2)

The spectre entered Jasper's body and used the White Magic it was proud of to posses him, however it was expelled out of his body.

To make matters worse someone capable of killing it was waiting for it, it had consumed to much time in idle chitchat.

The spectre thought to itself : ' Unfortunate, how unfortunate for this one to be immune to my White magic. Just my rotten luck for this to happen.

But, still this is a very unusual occurrence, in fact this the first time I have ever experienced such a situation. I will have find another way inside the boys body, if I take too much time then it will be too late to change anything."

Jasper was terrified after the spectre revealed its true intentions.

He would never believe an unknown person, but the spectre was an anomaly he had never encountered in his life and he couldn't deny the fact that it was not human. It could only be one of the fabled supernatural creatures. Also, strangely he had a felling that the supernatural creature was telling the truth.

It was a strange felling coming from deep inside him that knew not to take the stranger's words lightly or he would pay a heavy price.

This was not the first time Jasper was experiencing a dangerous situation. In fact someone had tried to kidnap him once, which was how he met his master. But, at that time he was in a state of depression even though it was 8 years back and he had stopped caring about what was going around him.

However, this time as Jasper's life was in danger, he know had many reason to live and did not want to die yet!!!

He wanted to payback his debt of gratitude to his master and make him proud.

He wanted to take care of his parents when they age just like they cared for him.

He wanted to reconcile with his sister and make sure that she was doing well where ever she was.

He wanted to go on adventures and enjoy his time.

He wanted to do everything!!!

-----------------------------------------------

The spectre came out of Jasper's body after its failed attempt and wails with the pain of agony when its striked.

The master of Jasper and all the students of his dojo, Master Ren realized after setting up the camp about his disappearance. He looked in all places but couldn't find him, making him worried.

Master Ren thought to himself : 'The way I met Jasper that child, was not ideal but I have unintentionally formed a close bond with him.

Actually, thinking about it, it was almost unavoidable from the moment I met him. He is cute, hardworking and very lovable,

However, I am his master which means its my responsibility to guide in the right path and be able to lead his own life later on.

I have to find him quickly otherwise I have this bad premonition that I might lose him forever.'

When the spectre attempted to enter Jasper's body, he had to endure excruciating pain making him shout at the top of his lungs. Master Ren did not miss this with his superior senses and heightened awareness of surroundings as he rushed towards the direction of the shout.

" Who dares to attack me, the fabled White-Dressed Witch??!" cried the spectre.

"Monstrosity, that is what you are, whatever you are. For your knowledge, I was the one who attacked you and I am the one who is going to kill you."

"Ha, big talk but you do not have the strength nor the ability to kill me.'

"Don't be too sure about that."

Master Ren took out a sword with simple appearance, but one look at it and the spectre realized that it might actually die by this puny human's hands.

He attacked with the sword slashing continuously at the spectre. It was at this moment that the spectre realized its misjudged about its current condition.

It was not as strong as it used to be and if the fight with Master Ren continued, then it wouldn't be long before it was killed.

Most of the creatures of the cosmos would panic in one way or another at the threat of death. But the spectre, who had survived countless impossible ordeals and had a mentality that couldn't be shaken. It immediately started thinking about ways to escape from Master Ren.

"It's pointless to wish for escaping from me, spectre. I have setup the strongest restriction barrier with a 50m radius around this area from which escaping is not allowed" declared Master Ren.

The spectre ignored Master Ren's words and kept rushing towards the edge of the 50m boundary . He was very confident with his barrier restriction ability , a little too much that he did no even try to chase after the spectre. But, his confidence was not groundless when no one had ever been able to escape from his barrier.

The spectre reached the boundary and struggled for sometime before being free from the restrictive force of the barrier and ran further and further away.

Master Ren took a momentary pause before his expression turned into disbelief. He never imagined the spectre, a very weak being able the first one to escape from his barrier.

This was proof of the life it had lead, the spectre may have lot its strength but no one could take away its experiecne.

Master Ren grinned like a lunatic as he smelt a fierce battle heating up, in simple words he was a battle maniac. He was addicted to battle, so much so that he would find every chance to pick a fight with anybody around him or join other people's fight. This was also why he saved Jasper when it was none of his business.

Master Ren chased after the spectre as it tried to escape from him beginning a wild goose chase.

Jasper stood still until know, frightened out of his wits and felt disgusted after the spectre attempted to posses him. The possession of one's soul was not as simple as adding two souls together.

It was a heinous practice where the spectre's soul forcefully entered Jasper's soul for a few seconds and what he experienced during that moment was very disturbing, not something a 10 year old boy should experience or for that matter anyone should experience.

This was also why possession of soul was banned in Arcane World. If anyone was found practicing it, then they were executed on the spot by the Enforcers.

Jasper was finally able to somewhat get rid of this horrible experience and paid attention to the fight between his master, Master Ren and the spectre.

Well there was not much to see as all that was happening was a supernatural creature running with its tail trying to escape, but it couldn't even manage to do that.

Master Ren chased after the spectre with his superior speed and it didn't take long before he caught it. After that was a one-sided bashing that lasted for a considerable amount of time.

Jasper witnessed everything, seeing his object of fear being pummeled down on the ground and looking at his misery he realized how useless fear was. No matter what one experienced in his life, if he could face it head on then there was never a need to fear.

This was how Jasper, a ten year old boy interpreted fear when he expeirenced it the the first time.

-------------------------------------------

Since that incident, fear had no place in Jasper's life which gave him the courage and chances he might have never known in his life, but this had to change as soon as possible.

Jasper knew in the Arcane World where crouching tiger and roaring dragons could be find practically anywhere, to top it all of he was in 'EverAwkae Jungle' one of the most dangerous places of the Arcane World.

The poor lynx's head-butting finally comes to fruition after hours of effort and Jasper wake up from his flashback. He looks at the cute and loving face of lynx and decides to stroll around the Paradise Spring with it.

But, first Jasper checks Jennifer's condition.

After a week of recuperation although Jennifer had not regained her consciousness all her outer wounds were completely healed and one wouldn't even be able to guess that her life was ever in danger.

Jasper had been shocked to the core after his encounter with The White Tiger and came back in a daze, he dropped all the medicinal herbs he had collected and now he could only hang his head low in dejection.

"Meah", "Meah" , "Meah", the lynx called to garner Jasper's attention.

"What is it?"

The little lynx lifted its small paws and pointed to a direction inside the cave, Jasper followed the direction and was surprised to find all the medicinal herbs he had lost.

"Ohh, good job buddy. I will reward you for this." Jasper patted the lynx loving and the lynx purred in a satisfied manner.

Jasper prepared Jennifer's medicine and after feeding it, he took the lynx out for a walk. Only he could have never imagined what he would encounter in a seemingly ordinary walk.
