Reflecting

Contrary to what Hershey thought, Blair had never liked Cadmus in a romantic sense.

Hershey had once foolishly suggested that she was in love with him. 'I love Mama and Papa. I love sweets and games. I even love Hershey herself.' That's why love could not be further from the truth when it came to Cadmus.

Sure, there were some people Blair liked. There were also some people Blair tolerated.

'But Cadmus?'

Back when they first met, he was this vexing and haughty brat. He looked down on literally everybody, though he was especially mean towards her for some reason. She tried so hard to pacify him by praising and helping him, but it appeared that she just made it worse.

Cadmus, who had been born with a silver spoon in his mouth, who had never faced anyone that went against him. Cadmus, who had called her a plebeian, who had said she was ugly and stupid.
