It was a lot easier to actually paint nails than Colt thought.

The difficult part seemed to only have been watching Hershey mess around with her hand. But he soon found that painting was easy, though she still had to keep giving him instructions on how to get it smooth and neat. Colt would get a glimpse of his own painted nail every so often and think his heartbeat sped up just a little.

"You're surprisingly good at this," she complimented him, peering at her hand when he finished with one before blowing at her nails so the base coat could dry. "If you did it more often, you could probably be even better than Rosina. She used to be terrible at it."

"I'm never doing this again," he deadpanned, frowning as he finished with the other hand.

"But you're good at it!"

"Never again."
