DAVID AND DANTE

David and Dante Ferguson were twins but were infact polar opposites. David was always cool quiet and reserved while Dante on the other hand was a wild card. He wasn't sweet or kind or any such thing. He was your basic douchebag. David and Dante's parents moved to that city a year ago and that's how they ended up in Crimson High. David was sad about the fact that he was leaving his friends behind. Dante, oh Dante, he on the other hand was excited. He was headed to a new school where he could conquer all and become the top dude.

David met and became friends with Cassie on his first day, he bumped into her and introduce himself after asking for directions. She was nice to him and he liked that. Dante met Cass through his brother, David, "that's on fine catch bro, I see why you choose to be friends with her" He said with a stupid grin on his face. "Bro..... WTH!!! It's not like that at all, we're just friends, I have no ulterior motive, to be honest". He wasn't lying, he was actually telling the truth. He and Cass weren't even all that close. He had his eyes on someone else..... And that was Natalia. Sadly, she hadn't noticed him yet, but he was certain that would change with time.

It was another school day, the sun was shining and spirits were high, for some at least. Cass was having one of her days. She felt sad and depressed but she had to be in school anyways. When she got to school she told Nattie about how she felt, "sometimes I just want to hide away in my room for days and do nothing but sleep and cry" She said with her head hung low. She really did mean that. Her mom was away on a trip so she had no one to have a heart-to-heart conversation with. To her, her dad was too busy to be concerned, which to some extent was true.

"I've always known you to be strong, Cassie, you'll definitely get over this. But whatever you are going through just bear in mind that I'll always be here for you no matter what." Cassie said with a warm smile while patting Cassie on the shoulder "Yo Cassie" Cass heard her name from across the hall. She turned around to meet the gaze of David and Dante. "Uh, Shit!" She really wasn't in the mood to socialize that day. The twins walked up to her and Nattie. Dante sized Cassie up with a smile on his face and did the same to Natalia who shot him a disgusted look.

"It's been a while, Cassie, where have you been and what have you been up to?" David asked, he gave shifting from Cassie to the unconcern Natalia who was busy with her phone. "I've been around, basically existing," Cass said with a light chuckle. Just then Kate walked past and shot Cassie the coldest look she'd possibly seen. Even Dante noticed "Woah!!! What was that all about". "I dunno, she's been like that for a while" Cassie shrugged. She was at that moment running through scenarios in her remind trying to find one where she did something that warranted Kate's attitude towards her recently, asides from the case with Brian.

"Why don't we go get milkshakes after school, you look like you need a break Cass," David said. "Yeah sure, why not" Cassie responded regretting it the moment she did. She wanted to say no, but she had noticed that David asked mainly because he wanted to spend time with Natalia and she knew that if she didn't go there was no way in heaven that Natalia was going to go without her. The group dispersed as they all walked to their various classes.

"Meet me at the cafeteria in 10mins" Cassie's phone buzzed with a notification of a message from Brian. For a split second, she forgot she was actually depressed and she started to smile again. On her way to the cafeteria, Cassie's paranoia kicked in as she thought of the possibility that this was just Kate trying to prank her again. She shook her head from side to side as tho to shake the negative thoughts out of her head. "Heyyy you look nice," Brian says as she walks in, he can feel the sweat on his palms so he sticks them into his pocket. Cassie smiles in response "You're being mysterious again Brian what's going on?"

"Well, I wanted to ask you something that's why I called you out here." Cassie felt her blood pressure rising very quickly, she took deep breaths to calm herself down. "Are you okay Cassie?" Brian asks noticing that Cassie was finding it difficult to breathe. "Nah I'm cool, go on." But his confidence had been affected, he quickly changed the topic and asked "do you think we could go see a movie later today?"

"Yes!!!" Cassie blurted out and they both laughed. She knew that wasn't what he wanted to ask but she couldn't say no anyways. "Alright then, I'll pick you up at 3:30 pm, is that cool?" Cassie nodded afraid she was going to say something dumb if she opened her mouth, she turned around and left. In the heat of the moment, she totally forgot that she promised she would go get milkshakes with Nattie and the twins that same day. "Ughhhh..... I had a bad feeling about today". How was she going to juggle the two at the same time? She loved Nattie and didn't want to ditch her, but the. She actually really wanted to spend time with Brian. Just the two of them, some good quality time.

"Hey, Nattie. Could we push the milkshakes till 5 pm?" Cassie read this text over and over again before sending it. She was trying her best not to hurt Nattie's feelings. Deep down she knew that in the past few weeks she had spent most of her time getting to know Maddie, and she was sure that pissed her best friend off. But Nattie said nothing about the whole Maddie situation, which was a whole lot scarier because Cassie couldn't tell what she was thinking. "Ding" she looked down at her phone in a hurry. "Sure, why tho? Are you good?" that was Natalia's response. Classic Nattie, getting worried about others first. Cassie replied reassuring her Best friend that she was good and actually felt better than she did earlier that day.

Cassie was fully dressed now. She looked at her outfit over again wondering if she was overdressed. She had on a nice pair of jeans flared at the ends with a cute black crop top and she paired that with a hoodie and sneakers. She missed her mom, how she would casually walk in and play with her hair while teasing her about her date. She looked and the time, it was 3:02 pm "Shit. I got ready too early." She cursed under her breath and she sat down and waited. All she could think of was Brian. Soon he got there and they both biked away.

David had been sweating all evening and Dante teased him for it. "Do you think Nattie would find it attractive if she sees you looking like you ran a marathon?" He was nervous. This was the first time they were actually going to be together outside school, even though they weren't going to be alone, he felt tonight was going to be special. Cassie met up with the guys at the creamery "Hey Buddy" she greeted her favourite waiter with a nod. As she sat down at the table. "You look beautiful" David blurted out and immediately wondered if that was him coming off too strong, but she smiled and teasingly said, "you don't look too bad yourself, David".

A few minutes had passed and the night was going pretty well, David actually proved to be great company, Dante had left moments ago "I've got something I need to do, sorry guys" He said as he got up. David knew where he was going he had caught a text on Dante's phone from the side of his eye, he was going to meet up with someone but not for something good....They were going to do drugs, Again!

Nattie looked down at her phone, she had actually started to get pissed, it was almost 6 pm and Cass was nowhere to be found. She had tried calling her but they all went to voice mail. She had slowly slipped from worried to angry. Meanwhile, Cassie was having the time of her life, she got carried away. The movie was really nice but she was with Brian so that made it amazing, she felt so at peace and comfortable, plus she was genuinely happy, not just faking it like she usually does. Soon the movie ended and they both said their goodbyes.

Cassie biked down to the creamery as fast as she could. But Nattie wasn't there, she looked down at her phone. It was 6:35 pm, not only that, she had just then noticed the dozens of calls and texts from Nattie. The last one read: "You really hurt me this time Cass, not cool." This was bad...Real bad.
