"My God!!" Cass sighed as she got to her room. This was one heck of a day, seemed like it would never end. She didn't hate Kate for what she did to her, what she felt was more of disappointment rather than resentment. She later heard from Natalia that Kate had been suspended and her parents looked very disappointed in her for what she did. She felt pity and shame for her, but that wasn't her problem, she had to move on.

"Cassie hunny, can you come down here for a minute?" Cassie felt like she would melt, "coming mom", couldn't she just have a few hours to herself. She picked up a bonnet and covered her hair, then she quickly changed into something comfy and headed down stairs. She stopped for a minute and smiled ran downstairs and gave her cousin, Mac, a big hug. "Heyyyyyy!!!!" She squealed in excitement while her mom watched with a proud smile. Mac was her cousin from her mom's older sister, they spent most of their growing years together so they basically felt like siblings. He was the older brother she never had, although she acted like the older one sometimes. Which he found cute.

"Mac here is going to be staying with us for a while, his mom is a bit busy." Cassie's mom said with a wink, it was like an inside joke. Cassie had asked what Mac's mom did for a living when she was younger, they kept telling her she was a superhero, it was annoying because it made her feel like a child. She later grew up to know that she worked for the FBI. This time she had been deployed to act undercover and trace the hideouts of a few Mafia gangs in the East coast. She always thought that her Job was pretty cool, fighting crime and catching bad guys, she was actually a "super hero" No doubt there, she laughed when she thought about this.

"Now Mac you should go freshen up then join us for dinner,, I made your favorite". "Spaghetti and meatballsssss!!!" They yelled in unison as he ran upstairs. Cassie walked over to her mom and gave her a big hug "I missed you so much Mom, Thanks for earlier today, I don't know if I would have kept my calm if you weren't there. Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you !!! " She said tightening her grip on her mom. "What's all this sweetie, you're my baby, I will always have your back, but do you know or have any idea why Kate would try to pull such a prank on you, do you think it was a dare."

"No mom, it wasn't a dare" Cass chuckled. "It was because of Brian, Kate has been pretty mad at me because I've been spending time with Brian. I guess they were in a relationship before and she feels im the reason it ended." She opened up, trying to hide the fact that she was blushing. "And you believe you're not?" She hated when her mom did this, turning the situation back at her. She didn't want to hear it from her mom that she was the reason for their break up, she knew that wasn't possible because she had only met Brian after his break up with Kate. "Can you guys suspend the gossip and come have dinner?" Cassie's dad said after watching them whisper in and on in the kitchen for a few minutes. They all laughed and sat down to eat "ahh .... This was what she loved about home."

The drive home was long as hell and it seemed like it wouldn't end, plus her mom hadn't said a word to her since they left the principal's office. She was glad tho, that her mom wasn't asking her a billion questions, but she feared her mom's silence more than ever. It meant you couldn't read her or know what she thought. They got home and her mom stomped upstairs and shut the door with a loud bang which sent shivers down Kate's spine.

Kate decided this was time to speak up. "Mom, you got a minute? "She asked and she pushed the door to her mom's room open slowly and poked her head inside "I wanna say that I'm sorry I .... ....". She couldn't complete her sentence, her mom rose her hand signalling her to shut up "I have never felt so embarrassed like I did today Katherine, I didn't expect such a thing from you, most especially at such a crucial time that determines your future, what were you thinking? We're you thinking when you made up your mind to try and ruin a little girls life , were you even thinking at all, because I'm not sure you were. So, No! You don't get to walk in here and act like all you have to do is say sorry and it will all go away. This went on your permanent record, your permanent record Katherine, do you know how hard it is to get into school with a dented record. No, I'm sure you don't know because apparently I've been too soft on you."

Kate could feel hot tears rise up in her eyes as her mom kept speaking, this was not how she thought her day was going to end, but at this point she did feel genuinely sorry for letting her mom go through all that stress because she was dumb. "I'm sorry mom"She said with her head hung low, choking back tears.

" It's not just about staying you're sorry, I want to see positive change in you starting today, do you understand me Katherine ! Go freshen up and come down for dinner, You're grounded for a week, you could use that time to think about how your actions can and will affect others and yourself. Go on. " Kate ran upstairs into her room and cried her eyes out, she felt sad and hurt. Not only was she suspended for two weeks, she was grounded for a week and had to do cafeteria duty when she got back to school. She thought about Brian and the look he gave her back in the principal's office and it dawned on her that he would never see her as a good person again. She cried till her eyes were red and swollen before she went and had a shower and then got ready for bed as she didn't feel like eating.

"You have got to stop this, Dante or I'm telling mom and you know she is gonna tell the cops" David yelled at his twin who he found crouched over the toilet seat throwing up what seemed like his guts. " I don't give a shit what mom does or doesn't do. This is my life not yours, so fuck off" David stormed out of the bathroom and came across Dante's phone on the table top. He was stunned, was his twin gay? Is that even possible? Dante, Gay!! That didn't sound like Dante at all. But then who could say they really knew Dante. He was open in his own was and secretive in his unique way too. So David was unsure. "Why the fuck are you snooping through my phone, David"

"Yoo ... Dante we need to ta..... " He couldn't finish his sentence as he felt a sharp jab by the side of his jaw. Dante had punched David in the face and was ready to get physical.
