AVA AND MADDIE

"I really don't want to talk about this but I have to be open with you. I've been going through a lot, David. I can't even start to explain. I'm beginning to question somethings. I'm just gonna go ahead and come out with it. I .... Uhmm... I think I'm gay David." Saying that felt like he was taking a massive load off his chest.

David on the other hand didn't expect a confession out of Dante so soon. He was shocked, but also relieved that he had made some positive progress. He took a deep breath and sat down, and for he first time in a long time he and Dante had an actual conversation. And they were able to talk things out.

David was able to convince Dante that there was absolutely nothing wrong in one trying to explore thier sexuality and how no one should make him feel bad for it in any way. When they're were done talking David went into his room and shut the door. "Oh shit, this was good. " He said as he picked up his phone and dialed Nattie's Number.

"Hey Maddie, Wait up!!!" Ava yelled waving her hand at Maddie as she was about to leave. Maddie froze and swallowed hard "Lord help me" She said under her breath. Ava ran up to Maddie panting heavily "where are you going to in such a rush Mads. You have plans for this afternoon?" All Maddie could do at this point was shake her head. She had been searching for Ava all day even at the Cafeteria, but when she didn't find her she was low-key relieved.

Now Ava was right here in front of her asking about her plans for the afternoon. She definitely had nothing to do. She spent most of her afternoons at home binge watching series, eating and doing some homework, well the ones she could try her hands on. Today, she wanted to go back to her usual ritual, but it seemed Ava had better plans for them both.

"Well," Ava said taking her hand "since you don't have any plans why don't we hang out for a bit, you know we could just talk. " Maddie's heart rate was going haywire, talk, talk about what, what did she want. "Oh shit, I'm ruined. " She thought then said "yeah sure why not." As they headed toward the creamery.

Maddie had unconsciously been looking around hoping to spot Cassie or even Nattie. It seemed like they were Missing in action more often these days. She wanted to speak up about how the way they acted affected her but Maddie was never one to show her emotions, so she ignored the issue and went on with her life like nothing mattered.

"Heyyyyy!!!!!" The squeal of about 7 highschool girls broke Maddie out of her trance. She looked up and scanned through the crowd. They were all cheerleader's. Now more than ever Maddie was confused "I thought you said you wanted to hang out? Are we gonna sit with them." She said let's looking over at Ava. "Well yeah, the whole cheerleading team comes here every Friday to hang out. Is that a problem?"

"Well,.... Never mind" Maddie said as they headed over to where the cheerleader's sat. This arrangement was definitely not going to end well. Few minutes Into the conversation and they had all diverted to what boys they had thier eyes one. Each one of them seemed to have all the juicy gossip about one person or the other in thier highschool. This made Maddie question her friendship with Ava. Was it all for talk or did she really want to be friends.

The whole thing had started to make Maddie feel like throwing up. She felt dizzy and was about to go when Ava asked "what's wrong Mads? Don't you wanna have a little fun? Come on, isn't there anything you wanna talk about? Tell us about Kate and what happened with Cassie." she said grinning from ear to ear "I heard Brian cheated on Kate with Cassie and that was why she did what she did, but I don't believe that one bit."

Through all of Ava',s blabbering, Maddie just stood and watched her. She felt disgusted. She kept her cool, laughed and said " now let's get something straight, the only reason you called me out here was to listen to you all yap none stop about who ever and whatever. Well that's not me. I don't do that. And honestly you should find something better to do with your time. And to think I actually thought we were going to be friends. Get this! I would never feed your gossip hungry ears with talk about my friends, Get a life.!" She said as she got up, picked up her bag and stormed off on the verge of tears.

That outburst was totally fueled by anger. She actually thought Ava had taken interest in her but in the end she was just doing it for talk. "What was I expecting in the first place... Magic?.... Oh please Maddie.... You know that's not how it works" She said wiping away tears as she ran back home.
