Chapter 80: Stop Where You Are

I felt like my whole world had stopped spinning, and my throat went dry for a moment. I took a step back. My hands were trembling from fear and anxiety building inside my system. My heart throbbed painfully, and I couldn't speak even though I wanted to shriek in terror.

This can't possibly be true. What on earth is what I am seeing? I closed my eyes, pushing away the horrible sight I had seen. I must be hallucinating. I must be tired and probably starving, that's why I saw it. I have been thinking deeply for minutes when someone taps my shoulder, making me scream in fear.

"Natasha, what's wrong?" someone grabbed my hand, and I was shouting for help when I opened my eyes and stopped. Realization soon hit me when I noticed everyone was looking at us, eyeing me suspiciously as if I had just grown five heads. I parted my lips that were quivering and slowly glanced at Ethan, who was gritting his jaw.
