Chapter 88: Who?

“Let’s go back inside,” he muttered before leading me the way. Ethan carried the bag at ease, even though I think it was heavy. I run up to his side, offering my help.

“Do you want me to help you with that? It looks heavy.” I told him and was about to touch the bag when he snatched it away from my grip. When I looked at his face, he smiled at me, but I knew it was not his genuine smile.

“It’s okay, I got it. You can go inside and let me do the rest,” Ethan exclaimed. His eyes told me I should follow him or something dreadful would happen. I gulped, then took a step back, suddenly uncomfortable with how he stared at me. Ethan smiled and grabbed my hand carefully, pulling me closer to his side.

“I’m sorry. I just don’t want to tire you. I can handle all of these. Just go back to our room.” he mentioned.
