“Ethan!” I cried when he dropped to the floor, unconscious. There was a hole on his back, and blood was dripping down on the floor. My hands were quivering when I tried to hold him. His eyes were shut firmly. I shook my head, dropping my head on his chest to hear if it was still beating. My eyes narrowed when I heard nothing.
N-no…
“Come with me, Natasha.”
I saw a pair of shoes stop before me. I paused from what I was doing to look at his eyes. He has no soul left in his ungodly ones. I gritted my teeth when he dared to offer my hands, anticipating taking his offer. I snarled and slowly stood up from my spot, clenching my hands.
“How dare you shoot down your own brother?!” I wailed, then smacked his hands away. I don’t care if he had a gun. He killed Ethan! He killed my husband!
Nathan’s brows knitted into a straight line, confused with my sudden attitude shift. He must have noticed that I didn’t buy what he had done, so he stood up straight, fixing his composure.
