Potter, Classes, and Deviation

At some point that night, I considered to visit the infirmary to check on Potter, but then decided against it. It is not my place to keep taps on Potter. It is not my bussines after all.

The next day, there are rumors about Potter being absent.

Some say that he fought with some dark creatures in the Forbidden forest yesterday, so he went out again today to finish them off. Some say that Potter is a brat who's too high and mighty to go to classes. Some even say that he has secret trainings with Dumbledore. And things are getting more and more absurd by the end of the day. It is worse that Potter himself is still missing.

I myself don't believe the rumors at all. They're stupid and irrational at best. How could a first year muggle-raised orphan knows how to defeat dark creatures? In his first day of school no less? *ckckck*

Everyone should know by now that when the Prophet mentioned that Harry Potter grew up away from the magical world, it was highly referred that he was raised in the muggle world. Hence, he would likely not be able to practice magic freely fearing of breaching the statue of secrecy (if he was raised by wizards/witches). OR some could suspect he was raised by muggles and not-knowing any magic at all (which was the truth).

So, the notion that he would slain anything or be the hero people blindly worship was simply idiotic. I pity him sometimes. I don't think he wanted or liked the kind of attention he had at the moment.

Next, I have reasons to believe that Potter's absence is simply due to his current state of being. Yesterday was the physical exam day for us first years. The fact that I spotted his name in the infirmary since last night was enough proof that his exams' results were unsavory.

The healers probably found horrific things on him, if the stories I know from Yester were true.

I believe they decided to keep Potter in the infirmary for the treatment. I was a bit confused though as to why Potter was not transferred to St. Mungos' instead? I'm sure they would care for him better there. And with Voldemort's presence in the castle? *shiver*.

I actually pity him. He has been through so much. Just when he would start his new life at Hogwarts, he was reminded again of the abuse he was forced to face all his life. No doubt he needs it though. The treatment is necessary for his betterment.

I hope they could get him a mind healer too. He should better process his thoughts better with a mind healer. He needs one.

__________

Days pass by with me attending classes, studying for my muggle studies, practicing spells and the likes, doing home works, and playing with my friends.

Because we have such small number of people in our Ravenclaw year, all 7 of us become close. We still respect each others' personal space if anyone wishes to, but we would be there if they need help.

That's one of the things I love about Ravenclaws. They're not nosey and generally keep to themselves. They are also willing to help anyone in needs, with reason.

I never thought that I would enjoy being at Hogwarts. I thought I would be super stressed out due to Voldemort's presence in the castle and my status as a muggle-born. But it's nothing like that so far.

The castle actually feels like home. I suspect it is something to do with the ambience magic which connects to our magic so it gives soothing feeling. Other than that, I also suspect that the castle is semi-sentient who send waves of homey feeling to help students adjust to the life at Hogwarts.

The slytherins also strangely leave us Ravenclaws alone. I thought they'd be aggresive to us. There isn't a single pureblood in our year. All of us are muggle-born, except Padma who is a half-blood (A/N: I make Padma and Parvati half-blood in this story).

I'm not sure what to think or feel. But I'm still on guard for any attacks at any moment. I don't want to be caught off guard.

The first week passed with us studying more on the theoretical things, except Transfiguration and Potions.

We had practical lesson during the second meeting of Transfiguration as Prof McGonagall's promise. I proudly inform you that I could cast the match-to-needle perfectly after my second-attempt. Making me the first student who could perform the spell in the class. Prof McGonagall even gave me 10 points for it.

My friends were happy for me. They all also could cast the spell perfectly at the end of the class, much to Prof McGonagall's amazement. What can we say, we are studious and hardworking bunch. When one of us secced, it triggers others to badly succed too. It's just the natural thing in the Ravenclaw I notice so far.

If others can, so can I !!! *hehehe*

I love my friends, they're competitive bunch.

In potions, Prof Snape ordered us to make Boils-Cure potion on our second meeting. He is slimer than Alan Rickman and more willowy, but other than that he is Alan Rickman. He is exactly like in the movies too, very dark and dramatic. He snaps easily too.

At the end of the class, due to him breathing down our necks most of the time, we could only make barely acceptable potion. I now understand why he is much disliked. The man singlehandedly crushes anyone's will to learn potion. *sigh*

_____________

At dinner on friday, Potter has appeared at the Gryffindor table. He looks much healthier, thankfully.

He has some muscle now, albeit only slightly. His hair is also smoother, shorter, and not messy at all. It looks shiny and neatly combed. It looks good on him, I'd say.

Near his dinner plate, he has few potions ready: one green potion, one pink potion, and one white potion. I could see clearly from the distance due to the clear vials containing the fluids. I know the potions. They were mentioned in one of the healing books I bought a few years back.

The green potion is a nutrition potion, it contains 5x the normal amount of all vitamins&minerals and 3x faster the absorbtion rate than the common multivitamin in the market. It helps the body grows at higher level and fix severe malnutrition. It needs to be cosumed 2 times a day for 3 months.

The Pink potion is a magic-balancer potion. It helps to stabilize and circulate the magic better to all of the body. In malnutrition cases, the magic is flowing at too frantic pace as it is helping the body to stay alive during nutrient-deficient time. However, prolonged duration of frantic magic could abnormally enlarge the magical core and deviate the flow of magic. At some point, the frantically-flowing magic will attack the flesh. Akin to hyperimmunity diseases, the body attacks itself. The potion needs to be taken 2 times a day for at least 6 months to get the optimal results.

To think that Potter needs the potion shows the severity of the abuse he endured. The fact that he has not died yet is magnificent.

The last potion, the white one, is a mind-soothing potion. It is a special potion that could only be prescribed by a mind healer. I smile inside. Potter gets a mind healer, thankfully. He really needs it.

The potion helps to sooth the mind and help the drinkers to process their emotions well. It also helps to regulate mood and sleep pattern. It is milder and more appropriate to children than the adult's potion counterpart (the draught-of-living-peace). The potion needs to be taken daily at dinner for at least a month. The dose could be adjusted according to the desired effects. After the mind-healing process, in which he would need the guidance of a mind healer for at least 3x/week, has been completed, the dose could be tappered off and then stopped completely.

Usually, it will take 6 until 12 months to complete the healing process. I hope Potter could persevere.

Aside from everything, I'm honestly happy for him. He finally gets the help that he very much needed.

To think that my random donations earlier this year could make such an impact actually amaze me. Those money really do wonders.

Looking at Harry again, I see that he sits between Dean and Neville. In front of him, there are Parvati and Lavender.

..

..

Huh?

..

..

I wonder why he does not sit with Ron?

And why is Hermione sitting alone at the end of the table?

I thought that she likes to sit near Harry anywhere. Or was it not the case?

Does Harry being absent for a week changes the timeline too much ?

I understand that Harry was supposed to have some memorable times with Ron on their first week of Hogwarts, some of which were being late at Transfiguration class and the potion class with Snape. They were some of the bonding moments for them.

..

..

Huh? What went wrong?

Did I change the timeline by donating the money?

But then what does it mean?
