*The baby will be born*

"Brian, how can you do this to me, I will not let this pass I swear " Patricia screamed.

When Brian walked out of Patricia's, he went straight to the councillors, he wanted to talk to them before they did anything stupid, he knew that the councillors were hell bent on uniting him with Patricia even if she was not his fated mate.

Because vampires were night creatures, most of them were not asleep, busy with their own business, some were even sucking humans' blood and compelling them to forget whatever happened.

**In the council.

Before Brian reached the council, his mind linked everyone, telling them to join the meeting. By the time he reached there, everyone was already gathered in the boardroom. There was a big table in the middle of the room, with more than 100 chairs. Most of the vampire counsellor members were already present. Brian took a sit all eyes were on him, on the other side, Brian did not care about all the deadly glare he was receiving, from the counsellors

" Brian, we heard that you have brought a human girl as your soul mate, is that true? , " Asked the elder councillor.

"All of you know that it is true, why are you asking? Brian said.

" That is unacceptable, you can't make a human girl your wife, how will you rule with a weak human, by your side? how will you fight the war with that weak girl of yours? The other counsellor asked.

Brian knew that they were right, but he did not want to agree with them nor did he care

" Brian, my daughter is what is best for you, even if that girl is your fated mate, you can't make her your wife, " Bruno said, who was Patricia's father.

" Brian as the future king, you should put your people first, before you put your personal feelings, " another counsellor said.

" So Brian what do you say?We don't accept this girl even if she is your fated mate," Another counsellor asked.

"What I'm saying is all of you here are married to your fated mates isn't it? , so the question is why are you forcing me to marry someone who is not my soul mate? " Brian asked, his eyes burning in anger.

" Well our soul mates are not human, but vampires, you know very well that vampires and humans don't get along, do you think once she finds out that you are a bloodsucker, she will like you? no, she will not spare your life " another, councillor said.

" It's not my fault that I was fated to a human girl, it's not my fault the, she is my soulmate, you should ask the Goddess about that, not me," Brian said

" We don't accept this girl, you better get ready for your marriage to Patricia." the other counsellor said

" If you think she is too good, you can also marry her, I'm not interested. I have my soulmate now " Brian said, he stood up and stormed out of the board room. Everyone was left speechless, they never thought that Brian would do such a thing.

The next day **

Melody opened her eyes when she felt someone's presence in her room, she sat on the bed and saw Brian holding a tray of food in his hand.

" Good morning," Brian whispered. Melody did not reply; she just gave him a cold glare.

" Okay, I understand if you don't want to talk to me, eat your food at least," Brian said. He was feeling pain in his heart when his soul mate ignored him like that.

Melody did not say anything, she got off the bed, and headed to the bathroom room, and closed the door behind her.

Melody took off her clothes and entered the shower. As soon as she turned on the shower, warm water started hitting her body. In the middle of the shower, Melody started feeling her belly growing, and a sharp pain hit her back.

"aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" Melody screamed in pain, the pain she was feeling was unbearable, the more the water touched her body, the more, her pain was increasing and her belly was growing.

When Brian heard Melody screaming, he was hesitant about entering the bathroom, thus he called for Naina. Naina entered the room. She used her speed ability to reach the room on time.

She went straight to the bathroom, she opened the door and entered the bathroom. She saw a melody lying on the ground inside the shower as soon as she opened the door.

Naina took the towel and wrapped it around her body, and carried her to the bedroom.

" What happened to her,? " Brian asked as soon as she saw Naina coming out of the bathroom.

"Call the doctor, look her belly has grown bigger, she wasn't like this, yesterday," Naina said as she put Melody on the bed.

" We should take her to the hospital, don't you think? " Brian asked, he was feeling anxious.

"It is clear that this girl is no human, I never saw anything like this in my lifetime, call the prophet, maybe she knows what is going on, " Naina said.

Brian's mind linked to the Prophet, and in no time she appeared inside the room.

" What is happening?" she asked

"This girl is Brian's soul mate, she was taking a bath, but Brian heard her screams inside the bathroom and called for me when I reached her, I found her on the ground, and her belly had grown bigger than yesterday, she is pregnant," Naina said, she was so nervous.

"The baby will be born today," the Prophet declared.

" What!"

"What! " both Naina and Brian exclaimed they were shocked

" Yes, she wasn't supposed to touch the water, she is the child of the water king, and her father was created by the Goddess of water herself. This girl and her mother were cursed by the king of water that she and her mother shall never find happiness and everywhere she goes, she shall cause distraction, " The prophet said.

" But she was fine when she used to live with her family in the city of humans? Brian asked.

" Yes she was, in the city of humans her powers were not with her, but now, she is in the city of vampires, we are all not humans, so her powers awakened, because of that, and because of the Baby she is carrying, she should not have touched the water until 9 months are over, but the damage is already done, " the Prophet said.

" So what will happen, after the baby is born,? " Brian asked.

" After the baby is born, she must not stay here, take her back to the human town, compel her mind to forget about everything that happened from the day she came here," the prophet said.

Brian did know what to feel, he could not part away from his soul mate.

"I can't do that, this girl is my soulmate, the love of my life, how can I leave without her? " Brian asked, he could not bring himself to forget about Melody.

" You can still meet her in disguise, she should not remember anything, that's how we can stop her powers from awakening and causing distraction in the world. " the prophet said.

" Brian, this is for the best, we can still disguise ourselves and meet them, what is better for them to suffer or live safely with no problems?, " Naina said.

For the first me Naina saw tears on her son's face, she had never seen him cry before

" But Naina, how will I live without her?She is my soulmate, I can't part from her, " Brian said in a cracked voice.

Before Naina could say anything, " Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh" Melody started screaming in pain once again.

" The baby is coming, what have you decided, what to do,? " the Prophet said

" Brian, what do you say?" Naina asked anxiously.

" I will compel her and take her to human town," Brian said teary-eyed.

" Okay I will help her to give birth to the child, once I'm done, you take her away from here as soon as possible," The prophet said

" Help me please I'm in pain" Melody cried.

The prophet walked to the bed where Melody was. " I want you to breathe, okay, breathe in and out, " the prophet said and Melody did exactly what she was told.

" Naina go, and bring two towels, scissors, and a bowl with warm water in a hurry," the Prophet said.

Naina went to the bathroom, and in less than a minute she was back.

" Now little girl listens to me, when I tell you to push or when you feel something coming, don't stop pushing, understand? " the prophet said as stands at the end of the bed.

Melody just nodded her head, she was in so much pain that she could not talk.

The Prophet climbed onto the bed and knelt on the end of the bed.

" Breath in and out," the Prophet said, opening Melody's legs apart so that she can take hold of the baby.

Melody breathed in and out,

" Now push " the Prophet instructed

" I can't, I'm scared, " Melody cried out

" Be strong and push the baby, " the Prophet said.

Melody pushed the baby out " aaaaarh" Melody screamed.

and the baby came out, crying, the Prophet cut the navel of the baby and wrapped the towel around the baby. When Melody finished pushing the baby, she fell unconscious.

" It's a baby boy, you can hold him now, " the Prophet said.

Brian walked near the bed, took the baby from the prophet, and held him in his arms. He could not explain what he was feeling, happy and sad at the same time.
