Shun looked behind and saw the other squads fighting the humanoid Soul Beast. He felt like he was a burden and couldn't help but feel the need to help.

"Mei, wait," Shun pulled Mei to the alley for cover.

"What is it? We need to run," Mei whispered with fear while looking around.

"We need to help them. It's our chance to strike when the humanoid Raider is busy fighting the other Combatants," Shun stated and grabbed both of Mei's shoulders and pressed lightly.

"Wh-what should we do?" Mei answered and her focus was on Shun's hand on her skin.

"Mei, lend me your mana," Shun stated firmly and looked into Mei's eyes.

"O-okay, I will," Mei didn't question Shun's plan and followed him.

Shun nodded and pulled Mei with him as they turned to every corner and find a place where they could stay hidden while having a perfect view of Ulderico.
