Flowers and letters

The lovers, under the rapt attention of the audience, descended into the hall. They were surrounded by friends and relatives and others, and Ling saw Lu Fei's bald head among them.

"He must be like hell in a frying pan right now," the young man thought.

Though his fate was no better. Watching your lover announce to the world that he was engaged to another man and kiss him, I mean her - what could be more ironic?

Ling intercepted Tai Bin's glass and drank his champagne in a gulp. The chief was thoughtfully silent. Then he looked at Jiang Wei again and thought deeply about something.

Meanwhile, the happy couple was getting closer and closer. Ling didn't know how Wei would react to him and, not wanting to face Lou, pulled Tai Bin by the sleeve.

"Please, let's go," he said faintly with white lips.

The editor did not reply, but instead of words the broad-shouldered Tai Bin hid a sad little cloud behind him, and Ling felt protected. A solemn procession passed by.

Ling was rescued, and Tai Bin became convinced that something was amiss and decided to question the young man later.

Once Jiang Wei and his bride led the guests into the next hall, Tai Bin took Ling under his elbow and led him to a side room.

Seating the young man on a sofa, he felt for his pulse. Ling pulled out his phone and typed one word, [Congratulations...], but before he could send it, his boss snatched the cell phone out of his hands.

Ling stared at Tai Bin in bewilderment.

"You don't have to grovel like that," Tai said. "So what if he's getting married..."

It was not in Tai Bin's character to think about the situation for a long time and then draw conclusions. He put the assistant's sadness and Jiang Wei's engagement together in his mind and realized what he realized.

"Give it back," Ling said with an angry.

"No!"

"I simply want to... congratulate and..."

"Show you're in pain?" Tai finished in his place.

"..."

"So what's next? How long have you been together?" Tai Bin went on the offensive.

"..."

Ling stubbornly didn't want to talk about the subject.

It was just that right now it was very hard for him to single-handedly save all the precious and beautiful things he and Wei had.

Their sleepless nights and secret plans.

Everything that had happened in the past now twisted into a mocking smile and hurt Ling. He clenched his hands and tried to contain his raging emotions.

Tai Bin suddenly felt a prick in his heart as the cheerful handsome fellow drooped before his eyes and looked like an old man.

He realized Ling's preference for men when he saw his unfinished painting.

Then there was that man he bumped into at the elevator, and the indifference with which the young man looked at the girls, even though it was a sure chance...

In the field where Tai Bin worked, relationships between men were not even just commonplace, but a trend.

He didn't think about it, because he just didn't have time for a personal life.

And what difference did it make to a man or a woman, Tai Bin was not blind, and he looked at the character of the person first. Eventually, he gave up trying to find someone special and drifted with the current.

The models seemed hysterical and uninteresting all the time. He didn't remember them at all. The employees were ants.

Working as hard as he, no one looked up to his throne. And he didn't look down.

Or rather, he looked through people.

So why the hell had he noticed this man and was now running around with him like a fool?

Tai Bin gave Ling his phone back and made sure he didn't repeat his stupidity.

"How about I take you home?"

"I want a drink," Ling said in a voice foreign to himself.

"Hmm, come on."

The men went to the bar and drank in silence. The conversation was not going well. Tai Bin was at a loss. He did not know how to console the sad man who had been betrayed by his rich and famous lover.

It didn't go to his head at all. Little by little Tai Bin began to suspect that the young man's experience and knowledge far exceeded the way he presented himself.

And where could he have met Jiang Wei?

Suddenly a conjecture illuminated Bin's dark thoughts with a bright flash: "wasn't he working as Jiang Wei's secretary?"

With a stunning look at the young man, he finished his glass and put the money under it, and began to lift the asleep assistant off the barstool.

Ling was still conscious, though his lucidity left much to be desired. Tai Bean called his car to the front entrance.

The driver was unable to park beside him, for at the same time the Jiang-Lu couple also went out to get into the car.

Tai Bin carefully turned away from this commotion and led the young man to the car. But it wasn't possible to get away unnoticed.

Jiang Wei had just sat his bride down and was about to close the door when he saw two men. One was drunk and the other was gently holding him by the waist.

The man immediately recognized Tai Bin. He met Tai Bin outside Ling's apartment and remembered his face.

The slender figure beside him was also painfully familiar to him.

Tai Bin put his assistant in the car, protecting his head, and involuntarily looked at the group of people in front of him.

A pair of gleaming eyes stared at him from that crowd. But he was confident enough to nod coldly and get in the car.

The two cars moved off and drove past Jiang Wei. He remained standing and staring after the second car and his head throbbed painfully.

What was he doing here? Who had invited Tai Bin and Ling to his engagement party?

A cold sweat broke through Wei and a terrible hunch crossed his mind.

"Lu Fei, you old fox, damn you, you knew everything!"

So he figured it out and the fire trick didn't work?

Wei was once again convinced that one should never underestimate one's enemies and overestimate one's friends.

He sullenly waited for his car and drove home.

Gradually it dawned on him that he had fallen into a trap cleverly planned by Lu Fei and his daughter. Was it true?

Meanwhile, Ling was ascending the elevator, leaning on his comrade. His relationship with his boss changed in the blink of an eye. Somehow Tai Bin had developed good feelings and they became friends.

As soon as he entered the apartment, Ling threw up, but it was a good thing there was a bathroom nearby and he managed to save face.

Tai Bin got the bedroom ready and after making sure the hapless assistant was tucked into bed, he went out, shutting the door quietly.

He decided to sober up and so he went on foot. Stopping on a large pedestrian bridge, he looked thoughtfully at the passing cars below.

Overnight, he went from being the main character to a secondary character when Bai Dexin drove into his life at full throttle.

Now his whole life revolves around him and he, Tai Bin, is happy about this turn. With a little more thought, he figured out a way to help Bai Dexin cope with his ennui.

Ling spent the whole weekend at home. He couldn't draw, he didn't want to eat, and he didn't dare call his mother.

He often looked at his watch. As he fell into a restless sleep, he again chased after someone whose long white hair was fluttering in the wind, and there was no way he could get that person to turn around.

Ling didn't want to get into the meaning and brushed the annoying vision aside.

When he opened his eyes, it turned out that his "dream" lasted only a few restless minutes. When he arrived at work, he was wearing dark glasses.

Tai Bin met him in the lobby, and putting his hand on his shoulder, led him into the office. There were now two desks standing there.

"I will need your help soon, so I want you to work beside me," Tai Bin explained.

Ling immersed himself in his work and his experience increased considerably.

From now on he was responsible for supervising three areas, which included more than ten projects.

Immediately after lunch he went to the casting of another photo shoot. Because of his hard work, Ling was able to forget his past and Jiang Wei for a while.

The editor often took him to meetings and personally supervised his work, so the young man was more than busy.

After a few days, he did call his mother. After reassuring her, he also asked how they were doing and transferred the money. Now that the restaurant was gone, it had become very difficult to support the family.

Shi Meili looked in vain for work in her small town. Although people sincerely sympathized with her grief, they were barely making ends meet.

Ling could not allow his family to suffer and began to support them financially.

So almost a month passed and the day came when the young man had to work as a model. Tai Bin had been waiting deep in his heart for this moment.

Bai Dexin's photos were some of the best and now he had come to the shoot to see them for himself.

Creative chaos reigned on the set. Makeup artists applied makeup and picturesquely smeared paint on the model's body.

The idea was to show the artist amid his work when he is immersed in the process and does not notice anything around him. It is at this time that the artist himself, as a masterpiece, is worthy of admiration, too.

Ling sat aloof in front of the mirror and waited his turn. His makeup was done and his outfit was on. He was given a denim jumpsuit that was buttoned up only on one shoulder.

The strap on the other side dangled freely down, exposing half of his chest. A few more millimeters would have shown a halo, but it was not acceptable.

At last, the shooting began. One by one the performers posed for the camera and replaced each other. Ling's image was indifferent and cold. He was supposed to look impassive and immersed in his work.

Right now it was not the brightest of feelings that filled the young man, and the image came out quite convincing. Tai Bin noted once more that Bai was good at everything and suddenly became embarrassed.

Scolding himself, he couldn't understand how his thoughts had rolled to vulgarity. He asked himself if his assistant was good in bed. Absurd thoughts came into his head one after another without being asked.

Ling spotted Tai Bin and wanted to wave at him, but suddenly realized that Tai Bin was sliding his naked shoulder thoughtfully and then up his neck.

Stopping at his lips, he frowned and then proceeded to slide down the young man's uncovered skin again. Ling is embarrassed and runs off at the first opportunity to change.

"What's the matter with him?" Ling asked himself as he dressed in his shirt and pants. "Looking at me so frankly, I even stopped breathing. Since when does he like men... Or why did he only look at me like that?"

It seemed to Ling that he was caught in a vortex of a dangerous current. Since that time, Tai Bin no longer looked at the young man that way, but only because the boss was masterful at hiding his interest.

Work went on, as usual, and the spread with his photo came out on schedule and garnered a lot of positive feedback.

Jiang Wei disappeared from his life as if he never existed.
