-Perseverance and Family Bond
MC's POV:
The years flew by on Dawn Island, marked by intense training and the shared dream of becoming pirates. Ace and I pushed ourselves relentlessly, fueled by the memory of our lost friend Sabo and the desire to explore the world. Even at a young age, Luffy's determination to set out on his own adventure never wavered. We made a pact to leave the island together at seventeen and chase our dreams of becoming legendary pirates.
Ace and I trained hard, honing our physical abilities and combat skills. Our sessions were often grueling, but we also cherished moments of lighthearted fun. One such moment occurred during a rare break from training.

In the middle of a particularly tough workout, we decided to take a break and have some fun. Ace challenged Luffy to a race to the top of the cliff near the village. Luffy's eyes sparkled with excitement as he accepted the challenge.
"You think you can beat me, Ace?" Luffy grinned confidently.
"Of course! You're no match for me!" Ace retorted.
The race was a whirlwind of youthful energy and fierce competition. Luffy, with his characteristic enthusiasm, launched himself forward, using his rubbery body to spring up the cliff. Ace, despite his superior strength and agility, struggled to keep up with Luffy's unpredictable movements.
I watched from below, amused and slightly exasperated. Just as Luffy reached the top and shouted in triumph, he lost his balance and tumbled back down the cliff, landing in a heap of grass.
Ace burst into laughter as he reached the bottom. "You're hopeless, Luffy!"
Luffy, covered in grass and dirt, laughed along. "That was a good race!"
I couldn't help but join in the laughter. "You two are ridiculous."

While Luffy enjoyed carefree moments, Ace and I remained acutely aware of the seriousness of our training. We were preparing for the day we would leave Dawn Island and make our mark on the world. Our regimen included intense physical exercises, combat drills, and strategy sessions. The promise we made to leave together at seventeen and our shared dream of becoming powerful pirates drove us forward.
One memorable aspect of our training was dealing with Garp's peculiar methods of motivation. Despite his reputation as the Marine Hero, Garp had his own unique way of expressing his disapproval of our pirate ambitions.
One day, during a training session, Garp made his usual dramatic entrance. "Still determined to become pirates, huh?" he bellowed.
Ace, Luffy, and I exchanged knowing glances. "Yeah, we are," Ace responded with determination.
Garp grinned mischievously. "Let's see if you're up for it, then!"
He lunged at us with exaggerated movements, turning his attempt to scare us into a playful game. We dodged his mock attacks, laughing and shouting as he swung an imaginary sword with exaggerated flourishes.
At one point, Garp chased us around the clearing with a giant wooden mallet. We darted around him, avoiding his clumsy swings. Luffy mimicked Garp's fighting style, much to everyone's amusement.
Despite the chaos, Garp's actions had a deeper purpose. His unconventional methods pushed us to become stronger and more resilient. While unorthodox, they were effective in their own way.

As the years passed, the day of our departure grew closer. Ace and I continued to sharpen our skills, preparing for the challenges beyond Dawn Island. We knew the journey ahead would be perilous, and we were determined to be ready.
One night, we gathered around the fire, reflecting on our time on the island and discussing our future. Garp joined us, his usual gruff demeanor softened by a rare moment of introspection.
"I'm against this—you guys should be MARINES!" Garp declared. We thought, 'Yeah, right,' but he continued, "Make sure you make something of yourselves out there. Don't let me down." I knew that nothing could change our minds; he knew it too, as we were the sons of his former frenemy.
Ace and I nodded in agreement. "We won't," Ace said firmly. "We'll make sure the world knows our names."
Luffy, ever the optimist, grinned widely. "And we'll have a lot of fun while we're at it!"
As the fire crackled and the night deepened, I felt a surge of anticipation and excitement. Our time on Dawn Island was ending, and a new chapter was about to begin. The promise we made to each other was within reach, and we were ready to face whatever challenges awaited us on the high seas.
