My Mom

"What...what did you just say?"

Joo Ah was still in a daze when she heard what Shin Suri said.

Shin Suri on the other other hand was still trying to regain full consciousness so she couldn't answer. After making an uncomfortable sound for a while, she opened her eyes completely and saw both Joo Ah and Jagi looking directly at her.

Jagi looked extremely concerned while Joo Ah looked like she anxiously wanted to hear something.

"Why...are you guys looking at me like that?"

"You mentioned someone's name just now. Who was it?"

I looked at Joo Ah confused about what it was that she was talking about because I didn't remember mentioning any name.

"What are you talking about?"

"Who is the woman you called?!"

Joo Ah yelled which causes my ear and head to hurt a little.

Jagi was trying to calm her down but it was obvious she wasn't having it.

When Joo Ah realized that Shin Suri just spoke unconsciously and had no idea about what it was that she said, she stormed out of the room leaving just Jagi and Shin Suri.

I tried to sit up and Jagi helped me.

"What is wrong with her?"

"It's nothing, never mind".

"It's definitely something for her to act that way as soon as I wake up. You better start talking".

"You mentioned someone's name as soon as you opened your eyes".

I looked at her intensely and tried to recall what name I mentioned but I couldn't think of any.

"What name did I call?"

"Aunt Eun-mi..."

As soon as she said the name, I went into a daze. I knew the name sounded extremely familiar but I just couldn't wrap my head around it. I had absolutely no idea where it was I heard it from.

"Suri? Do you remember now?"

"I...I'm not sure, but it definitely sounds very familiar. Yet I don't understand why that would make Joo Ah so pissed".

"I'm not sure either. It's unlike her to act out of impulse".

"I'm too tired to think about that right now. Can you please get me water to drink?"

Jagi nodded and quickly turned water into a cup from the jug on the table nearby.

After a while, the doctor came in and told them that she could go home if she wasn't feeling any more pain.

"What happened to me doc? Why did I suddenly faint?"

"I believe you have lost some of your memories and they are trying to come back".

I smiled.

"That's impossible, I remember everything right from my childhood".

"Do you?"

When he asked, began taking my thoughts back to when I was very little, and to my surprise, I couldn't remember anything at all. I could only remember myself from the age of say...twelve.

"So, you mean there are parts of my history that I don't remember?"

The doctor nodded.

"Whenever you are ready, you can leave but Miss Jagi will have to come with me to settle some things".

Jagi nodded and followed him out after giving me a sign that she will be back soon.

A few minutes after Jagi left, Joo Ah came back into the room.

I took my eyes away from her as quickly as I laid them on her.

"I thought you left already".

She came closer and sat on the chair.

"I'm sorry I acted that way earlier, I just got really surprised when I heard you mention a specific name".

"Who, Aunt Eun-mi?"

She came closer and I could obviously see the curiosity in her eyes.

"How...how do you know her?"

"I don't know, the doctor said I lost some of my memory so she may be a part of the memory that I lost".

I moved my face closer to hers and our eyes locked to each other as though we were about to fight.

"Who is she to you?"

Joo Ah dropped her head so that I couldn't really see her face much then she said in a very low voice.

"My mom".

Unconsciously, my eyes opened wide.

"What did you say?"

"I use to have a friend, and that's what she would always call my mom".

I didn't know what to say anymore all I could do was sit there and watch her say everything that she had to say.

After she had said everything about her mom and how she felt when she heard me say her name, I noticed that she began to cry.

I had no idea on how to comfort her so I just hugged her and began to pat her back.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know".

She didn't say anything and kept crying. After a while when she had calmed down, she looked at me and flashed a beautiful but sad smile at me.

"It's fine, I know they are not the same people, I was just shocked that's it. I guessed I've missed her a lot".

She said and chuckled a little I just smiled and kept looking at her.

Jagi came back in and we were ready to leave.

Our drive home was very quiet but it wasn't uncomfortable at all.

When we got home, we all went into our rooms and rested. We didn't get to see each other till the next day.

Early the next day Yu Han called me and told me we needed to meet urgently. I dressed up quickly and left the house before anyone could see me. We had already planned on a place to meet so I drove there on my own.

when I got there I saw a building that looked quite old, and after waiting for a few seconds I saw Yu Han coming out of the building.

"Why did you call me here is this the building you bought?"

"Yes boss, this is one of them".

I nodded my head and gestured that he continues speaking.

"I was able to get three buildings two of them were companies that have gone bankrupt and this third one is quite old. It is not a company, it is just a building so I'm thinking we can rebuild it and give it out for rent".

I was quite pleased by everything that he had gotten so I asked him if he had gotten the information that I asked for last time. He nodded which meant he did get them.

We took the rest of our business into my car and then he handed the documents over to me he was documents that contained the background of Ju Min and everything she has been doing till now. At least almost everything.

The first picture I saw scared the life out of me. I have never felt this scared in my life.
