Chapter 37 - Maya Rosenwald P7

"Alright, off you go!" I sent them to the hill with a teleport, then dropped out of the sky onto the battlefield below. There were soldiers fighting the phantom monsters, about five hundred feet from the fortress.

I formed a large barrier between the soldiers and the monsters. The soldiers knew what to do when a gigantic barrier appeared on a battlefield. They quickly retreated full stop to the fortress.

Keeping in mind that I had two observers, I decided to mix it up a bit. I landed on the safe side of the barrier and gripped the hilt of my black katana. Pushing on the tsuba with my left thumb, I disappeared as I drew the blade. I quickly moved across the battlefield, slicing up every monster on the way until I reached the powerful one in the back.

Strong enough to wipe out this battlefield with minimal time. This is why we need to find out about them fast. An SSS likely would have already destroyed the fortress.

I sliced up the SS monster like all the rest, then jumped into the sky and flew over to the hill where the girls were. "Almost done." I put a barrier around them, formed four catalysts, and poured an immense amount of mana in them. I sent them forward into the battlefield and detonated them once they were directly over the sliced up body of the SS monster.

They would regenerate from being sliced up, so I had to completely destroy them to be done.

Unlike the one at school the day before, this one was triggered at ground level and without the restraint I used to avoid destroying the school. The explosion was much larger, big enough to burn every monster in sight to ash and leave a small creator under the center of the spell. When it dissipated, I teleported to the fortress to have a quick chat with the commander.

"Hello, Miss Rogue. Thank you for your assistance."

"You're welcome, commander. Just be sure to report things like this quickly so that it gets to me as soon as possible."

"Of course. The entirety of the frontlines owes you a debt of gratitude. We may very well have lost an entire continent if not for you."

"Take care of your people, commander." I went to pick up my friends then teleported back to the estate.

"Now I see why you so readily agreed to taking us with you," Helena said as she quickly got out of the hot disguise. "I honestly questioned it, but you showed absolutely no concern at all about taking us despite showing concern over other students being mean to us."

"My thoughts exactly," Maya said. "I knew you were strong, but even I'm surprised. On paper, I should be as strong as you, but you clearly have something I don't."

I laughed dryly. I can't tell them I'm an ancient being from a high dimension. They'll never believe that, not that I want anyone to know in the first place. Serah, Stella, and Alice knowing is plenty.

"My aunt has fought on the frontlines several times. I learned from her, then secretly followed her there once. I started getting live combat experience at around eight years old." I shrugged. It wasn't a lie, but it wasn't even close to the full truth. "The first time I followed my aunt, I found out that even the strongest monsters had far less mana than me. So I put up a barrier around myself, charged in, and threw magic every which way. My aunt was surprised at first, but then grew to accept it as normal. Now, when she gets wind of a situation, she just forwards it to me and doesn't bother since she knows I'll be fine."

I tossed my hot suit to the side and sat on the floor in nothing but my undies, fanning myself with my hand.

"You know…" Maya said. "You say we're all girls here, but you know I'm gay, and you're basically eye candy."

I snickered and laid down on the floor. "Ahhh… cold floor feels nice."

"You are?" Helena asked.

From the floor, I had a pretty nice view of them. They were curious about each other and didn't notice me staring.

"Hmm? I'm what?"

"You said you're gay."

"Oh, yes. I know it's rare for beastkin." She had a sour face as she sat down next to me. "It's so hard to find another girl that's gay in Weltwald, never mind one I like that way that also likes me that way. So far, zero!"

"I see…" Helena sat down next to us, Maya at her right and my legs in front of her. "I haven't had any luck even finding another gay girl in Weltwald. You're the first I've heard of."

"Wait, you are too?"

The black-haired cat nodded. "Yeah. I like girls, but I haven't found anyone yet."

"Wow, I must be lucky," I said. "Two hot, gay, catgirls sitting next to me in their underwear? What a dream."

"Pfft." Maya tried her best to hold back a laugh.

Helena hopped over me and settled to my right side. She reached down and patted my head. "You're beautiful yourself, Eli."

"'Eli'? Petnames it is! Yep, I'm lucky. Me, a mere count's daughter lying on the floor with the beautiful princess of Weltwald and Nacht sitting on my left, and the beautiful ducal daughter of Rosenfeld to my right."

Both of them giggled, and Maya said. "If beauty dictated social rank, you'd easily be a crown princess."

"I concur," Lena added. "You're the lucky one? If I got a date with you, I'd say I'm the lucky one."

"Yeah. I mean look at you. I'm just a soft bodied noble girl, but here you are, sprawled out on the floor between us. You and your big boobs, your stomach with just enough tone to show a hint of abs, and the same for your arms and legs. I say you're the eye candy."

I smirked. "If you say so. You can look all you want, but only touch if you're willing to accept the consequences."

"There you go saying that again," Maya said with a laugh. "Whatever could those consequences be."

"Who knows?" I jumped up off the floor and held my hands out to each of them to help them to their feet. "Wanna hit the bathhouse before we go back? I worked up quite a sweat."

"We go from seeing you in your undies to naked in five minutes?" Lena mused. "Count me in."

"Maya?"

"You remember what I said about-"

"Not worried about it. Like I said, you're a girl, you go into the girl's bath. And you said you're fully female right now anyway. If you're not comfortable with it, that's one thing, but don't hold yourself back because of the former." I patted her head and snatched up my uniform. "It's up to you. If you're in, grab hold of my arm. If not, get dressed, and I'll send you back to the academy."

She shook her head. "No, I want to go in the bath. Just standing there in that hot monkey suit got me sweaty."

"Off we go then." They grabbed my arm and I whisked us away.
