Gasps of shock filled the heavens as Lucifer came towards the city, the sword behind him.

Lucifer saw the angels gather, murmuring among themselves and staring with awe, he would have been pleased that he got this much attention if he wasn't already irritated by his conversation earlier.

When he arrived at the temple, the doors opened and he walked in. He moved to the middle of the temple where he intended to place the sword. The two seraphs that followed did not speak to him or pay any attention to him, instead, they focused on the sword intently like it could develop legs and run on its own.

As he crossed the middle, the sword stood in his former position. Once again, he admired it, and all at once, many evil things crossed his mind against the maker.

"Lucifer". One of the seraphs called. He glared at the glowing male with the intent of scaring him but unlike the other angels he commanded, the angel did not care about his squeezed face.

"You must leave this place; remember no one is allowed in here". He said. Lucifer's hands molded into a fist again. How dare he talk to him like that? Did he know who he was?

"In case you were unaware, I am Lucifer and I am in charge of the heavens, because of this, I know this place...."

"We know who you are". The second seraph interrupted.

"If anyone should protect this place, it...."

"We take orders from the highest and he asked us to guard the room and no one must be allowed into it". Lucifer bit the insides of his lips.

"Still I..."

"Lucifer". The male called again. "As you said you were given charge of this part of the heavens, surely you must understand the place of authority".

Lucifer did not reply to them; he simply walked out of the room. The angels followed him and immediately the last angel stepped out of the room, it lit up in flames and the doors closed again. The two seraphs stood at the entrance, their faces void of any emotion. Lucifer stared at them. He knew that he had no control over the angels that surrounded God's throne; he was only put in charge of the angels in the heavens he was familiar with and it made him sick. He wanted them to see him the way other angels saw him, like a God.

Lucifer gave them one last glance before he spread his wings and flew towards his chambers. The angels gave way as he flew past, none had the courage to ask him what was going on. Michael stood at the end of the crowd, his hands crossed and his face scrunched. On spotting Lucifer, his expression lightened up but that could not be said for the anointed cherub.

"Master". Lucifer stopped abruptly. He had never felt so small beside Michael until now. For the first time in his life, Lucifer felt equal to his student. He forced a smile to his face and the angel smiled back.

"Yes?" He asked.

"I saw the seraphs behind you, well we all did. I assume something big is happening". He said.

"Yes indeed. It is a secret though, all will be revealed in due time". He said. Michael nodded.

"I can't wait master". He paused for a while and his eyes shone in admiration. "We will be training today yes?"

Lucifer tensed up and forced a smile to his face again.

"o--of course". Michael bowed lowly. Lucifer tapped his shoulder once and with the smile still plastered on his face, he walked into his house.

Once he closed the door, he yelled and kicked a nearby chair. He held his hair, pulling it from its roots, it stung him but he didn't care. He knew how strong Michael was, even though he was still a bit timid, he could win that tournament with ease. He needed to come up with a plan good enough and also an explanation to the other angels.

A slight giggle filled the room after a few seconds of silence. Lucifer turned sharply to the voice, and with neck-breaking speed moved to its location and grabbed the neck of the angel that stood at the corner of his chambers. Adriel greeted him with a coy smile and Lucifer returned it with a stoic frown. The angel's lips slowly returned to their original state and she sighed.

"I thought you'll be happy to see me". She said in a whisper. Lucifer stared at her like she was crazy still not releasing his hands from her sore throat.

"I am not". He replied plainly, his golden eyes narrowing a bit at her. If Adriel's throat wasn't been strangled by Lucifer, she would have gulped in fear. She tried to speak but Lucifer only squeezed more. When the water started to form around her eyes, she pleaded with it for Lucifer to stop and he did. Her body fell to the floor after he released her. Adriel held her throat lightly and winced at the throbbing pain.

"Why are you here?" Lucifer asked, his hands crossed. He was already extremely irritated, he did not want to waste time with her. Adriel pointed at her throat, a sign she could not talk yet. She was an angel of a lower rank compared to Lucifer so her wounds will take longer to heal. Lucifer did not have such patience and he didn't really care. He frowned and began to walk towards her with a murderous look on his face. Adriel widened her eye, she stood up immediately and placed her hand in front of her, a futile attempt to stop Lucifer.

"The angels are agitated". She spoke out. Lucifer stopped in his tracks and he stared intently at her.

"They saw you come down from God's temple with the seraphs and that really bright light. They want answers and..."

"You're here to get them". He finished for her. Adriel nodded slightly. Lucifer looked away from her, deep in thought. Adriel took the opportunity to admire him. Lucifer possessed a presence that was overwhelming in a way, almost haunting. Adriel could not deny that she was drawn to him and she knew that she was going to do anything to get him to see her as more than a means to end.

Lucifer's head snapped towards her direction and Adriel's cheeks heated up. He had caught her staring but he didn't care, he even saw her behavior as childish. Her obsession was very irritating to him but he only allowed it because of how useful she can be.

"Gather the angels, I have something to say to them". He ordered. Adriel kept staring at him. She had expected him to tell her what he was planning. Lucifer glared at her when he noticed she hadn't left. Adriel squirmed under his gaze.

"Lucifer I..."

"GET OUT". Adriel scrambled up from the floor and ran out of the room with haste.
