Lucifer was in the same room with Adriel and Gadreel and they were all silent, each of them deep in their own thoughts. Lucifer had kept Nahamani back in the white room after making her unconscious so the white room wouldn't make her mad. She still had the keys but he knew she had no other choice but to give it to him. If Lucifer wanted, he could wake her up, open the forbidden door and take the sword and that will be all. But he wanted a dramatic reveal. He wanted to show off.

Adriel however was thinking of how she could get the attention of Lucifer again. She had messed up badly and now she was being replaced by Nahamani. She was thinking of several ways she could punish her before killing her off. She didn't know what Lucifer was planning but she knew one way or another, it will be huge and she wanted to be a part of it.

Gadreel's mind was filled with thoughts of anger and boredom. He did not understand why Lucifer played the sick games instead of taking what he wants already. He had noticed that when Lucifer went over the top, something bad always happens. He was powerful enough to take whatever he wanted so why waste time, why stall? Except he was enjoying the game. Like a predator.

"We need to inform the angels about Kemuel's death". Lucifer finally spoke. Gadreel and Adriel nodded in approval.

"We just need to come up with a good lie". Gadreel responded. Lucifer smiled.

"I already have. We will blame the whole coup on him". Gadreel stared at him. Did he just come up with things in seconds or has he been planning this all along?

"That...should work". He replied.

"That would work. Gadreel, by now I thought you would have become wiser. If I put the blame on Kemuel, you and Adriel would be free". He said. Gadreel nodded slowly still looking at Lucifer. There was no way that was his only plan.

"And then what?" He asked. Lucifer smiled.

"You'll see when the time comes". He replied." But for now, let us deal with the angels". His gaze then settled on Adriel. She gasped when their eyes met. He finally acknowledged her. Lucifer had a mischievous smile on his lips.

"You, I have a job for you later". He said. With that, he stood up from his seat and spread his wings.

"I want you and Adriel to stay here. Do not come out of this room. Understood?" They nodded their heads and with that, he flew out of the room and headed to the main hall. He had a smile throughout the short journey. He had something big planned out for everyone and he was more than excited to execute it because he knew at the end of it all, he would be sitting at the throne room of God.

He landed at the front door and the guards automatically opened the doors for him with a bow. He didn't reply to them instead he went inside quickly and shut the door with a loud bang. Everyone in the hall stopped their conversation and the singing. All eyes turned to him. Carshena the only cherub that Lucifer had not yet dealt with, stood up to greet him but as she bent her head, Lucifer raised his hands signaling for her to stop. He had already switched his mood from happy to very angry even though it was an act, it was a very good one that scared every angel in the room.

"You call yourself pure when an impure one walked among you, ordered you around, pretended to be your leader. And right underneath your noses, he killed one of our beloved and intended to frame two contestants of the tournament". He shouted.

"What are you talking about?" Carshena asked. Lucifer stared at her.

"I am saying that Kemuel was the traitor, he had used Adriel and Gadreel and then he killed Nahamani when she caught up with his evil". The angels were shocked. Michael surprisingly did not believe him. He was getting really suspicious of Lucifer. He had been acting differently before the tournament and even missed all of their classes which he had said he loved. Michael had not spoken up about it because he thought it made him sound entitled but then he was not so sure now that he was even the problem.

"So you did not kill them?" Carshena asked in a simple tone. Lucifer smiled.

"No". Then he paused." But I killed Kemuel". He said. The hall was silent after this. Many of the angels were shocked by this confession. Carshena did not even know how to react. Lucifer was more powerful than all of them, but he still had to follow orders if not from her or any other but from the maker. The maker had commanded that there must be a trial then judgment either banishment to the white room or death. Lucifer had not only disregarded an order to kill the rebels but he had also refused to give an angel a trial in front of everyone.

"We had a conduct, to have a trial". Carshena said. Lucifer scoffed.

"The trial didn't work, you would have killed the wrong people". Lucifer said plainly.

"Did the maker approve of your decision?"Carshena asked. Lucifer stared at her. These cherub are so stubborn. Why can't they all just be as dumb as the rest?

"He did not". He replied. Carshena's eyes narrowed.

"Then you broke his rule".

"So did you. He asked for a fair trial, you would have led two innocent angels to their deaths". He explained, his voice rising.

"And what about Kemuel? He was not given a chance to explain himself, you just killed him". Carshena yelled back at him.

"Just killed him? Just? Are you all blinded by what he did. I am smarter than everyone in this room and the reason I refused their deaths was to expose Kemuel. I saved you, stupid angels".

"With all due respect, Lucifer. You may be God's favorite but sometimes he wants us to act as a team, and work together to solve problems. You went on your own. It's almost like you went...." Then she stopped.

"I dare you to finish that sentence". Lucifer said lowly. He was glaring at her and if she opened up her mouth to say anything else that triggered him, he will kill her and deal with the aftermath later.

"I do not believe killing Kemuel was the right choice". She finally said. Lucifer nodded slowly then smiled.

"Well since you all are so ungrateful, I have decided that we are going to have that tournament after all". He said. Carshena nodded.

"All right". She said. Lucifer smiled again.

"There is a twist though, it is taking place tomorrow". This time Carshena widened her eyes. Every other angel was shocked too. Michael just shook his head slowly.

"It can't happen tomorrow, we need to prepare!" Carshena argued. Lucifer scoffed.

"Why? I mean the only way we know which angel is worthy of a new title is how they perform when they are caught unawares. If any enemy were to attack, it will be when we all least expect right?" Lucifer smirked. He enjoyed the looks on each of their faces. Carshena gulped before nodding again.

"Fine. Do as you wish". She said. Lucifer laughed lightly at her. If she thought she was going away with the embarrassment she caused him, she was very wrong.

"That's not all Carshena". He said. She looked at him with suspicion. What else could be worst than what he had already made them do?

"You will be in that tournament and you must come out the winner or else...You will be punished for opposing a superior angel either by the white room or by death, however, I see fit". He said. Carshena was speechless after this. In fact, all the angels were numb.

Lucifer smiled again. He was going to send Carshena into a den of lions and then he will make sure that she doesn't even make it out of the tournament alive.
