Dancefloor

Slowly swirling to the beat of the song with one hand intertwined with hers and the other placed on her waist, he stated, "You see, I told you, it's so simple with ease."

"Hmm, exactly as you've said." Pausing for quite some time, she inquired, "Seb, I didn't see any sign of Anastasia's parents here, why?"

Shrugging his shoulders, he sighed, "She's an orphan."

Widening her eyes in shock, "Are you serious about that?"

"Hmm,"

"Poor Anastasia, she had to struggle and start life from a scratch." Jin-joo sighed in dejection.

"Ryan met her at one of our company's yearly gala. That was five years ago when we took over the company. She's a native of Beverly hills, she lost her parents at age 10." He explained.

"Oh my, so sad."

"Very sad."

"But how did she cope with life and studies in terms of education and living?" She inquired. Jin-joo would swear that her heart is bittered for Anastasia. Her heart bleeds after listening to her side of storyline.

Shrugging his shoulders, he helplessly shook his head and sighed, "Financial help and scholarship programs from the state government."

Swirling her around, he further explained, "After her parents funerals, some NGOs took her in and catered for her."

"I bet life was a little bit harsh on her."

"Sometimes life doesn't give us what we actually ask for. Wishing for a life filled with fulfilment and happiness but not like that of mine and Nelly. Our childhood wasn't as bubbly as every other persons." Keeping his expression neutral, he added, "I had a rough childhood background. But thanks to my mom who made it frisky for I and Nelly."

Feeling downcasted on his statements, Jin-joo held his face in her hands. Cupping his cheeks, "Look at me, I can feel your pains, I really do. Aunt Petra is a God sent mother to you and Nelly. She has been there for you and Nel, I do understand about few of your background." She smiled.

Scrunching his brows, he inquired, "How do you mean?"

Taking a deep breath, she remarked, "You see, the first day I met aunt Petra, we talked briefly and thereafter we met aunt–" Stopping midway when she realized that she almost spilled the beans which might trigger Sebastian to do something silly.

"Why are you so quiet? Who did you and Mom meet?" He curiously inquired. When she hesitated, he held her hand tight and raised his brows without taking his eyes of hers, "Talk to me Jin, is there something I should know and you're hiding it from me?"

Vigorously shaking her head, she awkwardly chuckled, "No, nothing at all."

Narrowing his eyes at her, "Jin, I know you're telling lies. You want to start our relationship with–"

Cutting him off, she placed her hand on his chest, "Okay fine, believe me, I don't tell lies but–sebastian promise me you won't get mad from what you're about to hear."

"Speak up, I promise to stay calm."

"Okay," Looking around if anyone was watching them, he held his hand and took him to a corner when she realized that no one was watching.

In a distance

"Collins, I respect your opinion but respect mine too. There's no fucking way I'm gonna agree to what you said." Petra snapped before sipping from her wine.

"Doing this is like keeping yourself in the dark. Trust me." He warned.

Letting out a mockery chuckle, she dramatically flicked a strand of hair behind, "And do I look like I care? Tell me something, if you were to be a woman which I know you're not, and in my shoes, would you want to get back to the same man whom abandoned you and your kids for twenty-three years ago?"

"Petra, Grayson didn't abandoned his kids, he–"

"But he did and he abandoned me as well." Narrowing her eyes, she remarked, "What do you take me for? A fool? Of course I bet I am. Because I foolishly gave him my body again. I promised myself that no man will ever see my nakedness again after Nelly's birth but I foolishly forgot about that."

"Forgive and forget about all these stuffs, is that too much to ask? Do you think that keeping grudges in your heart might do you good?"

"Yes Collins, absolutely yes! There's no way I'm going to forgive Gray for what he did to me and my kids." Bursting into tears, she retorted, "I might have said yes I've forgiven him but no it wasn't from the dept of my heart."
