Shy and timid

"No baby, sometimes you need to put these officers to where they belong. Gosh!" Placing her hands on her waist, she gritted her teeths, "I'm going to teach that socalled bitch a lesson, resounding one as at that."

"Fine, but not right now. My brother is admitted and Petra is fustrated. To keep things slow and steady, let's avoid making trouble with Lorena. She's a bitch, remember." He sighed and shook his head.

"Of course I know she's a bit h, and will forever remain a bitch. But with her limits she crossed, I bet she'll have me to delt with on this one." She scoffed.

Slowly parting his eyelids, the whole place looks vague to him. Narrowing his eyes at the blurry people in front of him, he lowered his head to the person relaxing on his chest. That was the one person he could capture instantly. "Pe–Petrarchan?"

"Grayson!" Collins and Laura rushed towards him.

"Gray, are you okay?" They panickly inquired.

Looking at the haggard woman whom was still soundly asleep, he ran his fingers through her messy hair, "Pe–Petra?"

"She's asleep."

Trying to sit up but Collins guided him to lay back. "Gray, you need to rest."

"She––I don't want to rest. I want to talk to my Petra." Looking at her, he called her out, "Petra?"

Lifting her head, Petra scratched her head and widen her eyes after realizing that he was awake.

Holding his hands in hers, "Grayson, you're awake!"

"Yes am–am awake." Caressing her face, he whined, "Why do you look so paled?"

Snuggling her cheek on his hand, "Forget about my appearance right now. I'm not a good woman, I shouldn't have done what I did." Joining her hands together, she cried, "Please forgive me."

Holding her both hands with one of his hand, he smiled, "It's alright, I forgave you."

"You forgave me?" She hopefully inquired.

He nodded his head, "Yes of course, who am I not to forgive my trespassers?" Pausing for a while, he winced when he felt a sharp pain on his right rib.

"Gray, are you hurt somewhere?" Without waiting for his reply, Petra quickly added, "I'll call the doctor right away."

Grabbing her hand, he stopped her, "I'm fine, it's just a little ache on my right rib."

"The doctor said you're getting better." Collins informed.

"Yes and he told us Petra donated three pounds of blood to your recovery." Laura added.

"Three pounds of what?" Turning towards Petra, he scolded, "Why did you do that? It's such a big risk."

"Of course I know. I had to do it, after all am the reason why you're here." She sighed in dejection.

"Stop saying that. I deserve the condition am in right now. If I hadn't withdrew the disaster of having an affair with another woman from the very start, this commotion wouldn't have happened." He whined.

Taking a deep breath, Collins informed, "She sent two police officers to come arrest Petra."

Scrunching his brows, Grayson snapped, "What? Lorena asked the police to––" Clenching his hands into a fist, he gritted his teeth, "When am I getting discharge? I need to get outta here right away."

"Are you going to hit her or vent your anger on her?"

"Both, Collins. Someone needs to teach that woman a lesson. Who gave her the audacity to do so?" He frowned.

"Grayson, you know you're still under medication. You need to relax. Col and I have settled things already." Laura remarked.

Wiping her face, Petra took a deep breath, "It's alright, I didn't realize when the police came in. I would have submitted myself to them instead."

"No you–"

"Yes Grayson. I did it on purpose so I have to pay for my crimes."

"Stop talking nonsense Petra, there was no crime nor anything done on purpose. We got into an argument and then things turn out mysteriously before you did what you did." He chided.

"Any woman in your shoes would have done what you did." He added.

Without saying anything, she burst into tears.

Taking a deep breath to calm himself down, he held her face in his hands. Wiping the tears off her eyes, "Shh, stop crying, am sorry for raising my voice on you."

Placing her head on his chest, she sobbed even harder. Lightly smacking his chest, "You've started scolding me again." She complained.

Running his fingers through her messy hair, "Am sorry, I promise never to do it again." He sighed.

Intertwining her arm with his, Laura placed her hand on Collins chest and smiled while watching the two lovebirds play their folktale.
